Salomon Quest Element Gore-Tex Men's Backpacking Shoes, Athletic inspiration, All-terrain stability, and Outdoor essentials

I did find them cheaper elsewhere but not in my side. But other than the price I cannot fault them. Bit tight around the ankle at first but wore them for a week pottering around to break them in then they were fine. Really comfortable and the waterproofing is brilliant. Think they are my favourite walking boots I've ever owned.

These are my 5th pair of Salomon GTX boots. All have been extremely comfortable and well made. Previous pairs wore out due to extensive wear ( almost daily). My only negative comment is that the laces are prone to loosening, a problem on all 5 pairs, however quality and comfort overcomes this minor quibble.

!unfortunately this shoe proved to underperform. Not very waterproof and leaked just walking through wet grass but also tore easily within a few weeks on a light bramble so now cast the shoes asmall useless. Shame had high expectations and cared for these but overall 3 weeks use and already for the rubbish bin.

Generally comfortable and lasted me a year before they just started tearing and the tread went so 12 months for this item is not a great return on investment.

Wore these for 18 months. Not a heavy user - regular dog walks, occasional hike and backpacked for 4 weeks. Last few months the sole has begun to separate from the upper boot where the glue joins the two parts. The right boot has fully unstuck today from the front half of the sole. Only option is to either pay a professional to reglue / fix small tear in material or throw them away and buy replacement. Not good enough when paying this much money for a trusted brand. Great comfort & lightweight to wear while it lasted but material and manufacturing quality is very poor for the price (£115). Not worth it. Other boots have better quality and lightweight with the same comfort.

I wear a lot Salomon shoes, so tried the boots for the sale price. They are a tight fit, compared to the shoes, but so far, IK am happy with them. Just hope the soles and achiles padding hold up better than the shoes do.

Chaussures confortables et agréables à porter mais elles se sont déchiré au niveau de la pliure (dessus du pied) après moins d'une année d'usage ce qui n'est pas du tout satisfaisant. Amazon a été parfait et considérant que les chaussures avaient moins d'un an, m'a demandé le renvoi et a procédé au remboursement intégral. C'est la deuxième paire de Salomon que j'utilise qui rend l'âme après moins d'un an d'utilisation ce qui dénote tout de même une certaine baisse de qualité des produits de cette marque que j'utilise depuis plus de 15 ans.

20年前にサロモンの登山靴を購入し、愛用していたが5年ほど前に履きつぶした。堅牢だったが重かった。まだ若かったので重さより、安全性、耐久性、履き心地を重視していた。最近コロナやらなんやからで山歩きは中断していたが、再開するに当たり、やはりサロモンを探してこの商品に決めた。とにかく軽い。早速近辺の坂道（舗装路）ばかりを1時間半ほどで10kmほど歩いたが、どこも痛くならず、へたなウォーキングシューズより歩きやすかった。さすがサロモン。耐久性は買ったばかりで当然不明だが、とりあえず★5つ進呈です。なおサイズは他の人のレビューを参考に、いつもより+1cmとして良い感じ。人によっては+0.5cmでも良いかも。

I tried on many hiking shoes thanks to the use of Amazon Try Before You Buy program. These shoes hands down has the best quality and build of the other common shoe brands. The fit was as expected. These were very comfortable on my 33-mile backpacking trip. No sores and aches from wearing these shoes. Also very light and has great traction. Would recommend
