Very effective for the price. Easy to fit over my boots. Kept me upright on sheet ice on Alpine walks. Could easily put them in my pocket when I wasn't using them. Came with some spare yellow spike/buttons but none of the originals have fallen out so far.

These are great snow / ice grips and have held up well to relatively light use so far. I have previously used Yaktrax (I think that's how it's spelled) which were wires twisted around rubber and which always broke after a few uses. These ice grips are holding up much better and feel like they are going to do well, with nothing to dig into or cut through the rubber. The feel solid on. I do like the provision of some spare studs as well.

Small sizing. Need to be stretched over the shoes, not suitable for most styles. Mainly seem to fit well over my hiking boots, which have a good, non -slip Tread anyway?

These were absolutely essential for a recent trip to northern Norway where the pavements were really icy and slippery. They give a reassuring grip that you won't fall and hurt yourself. We saw plenty of people slipping over without these so if you are off to Norway or Iceland or somewhere like that, get a pair of these, as for the price they are well worth it. It's very useful to have a selection of spare 'studs' included as they do occasionally get dislodged and need replacing. They are very easy to replace if any studs do go missing. These may come in handy here in the UK if we get any really bad icy conditions during the winter.

Of course you can buy better and more expensive ones, but I decided to try these as it’s only for now or maybe once or twice a year. I have to admit they did the job — they were useful on ice and snow, although maybe less on snow, but when there was ice underneath you could really feel your footing was secure.

I am giving 4stars as I only wore them twice before the snow & ice disappeared but have to say they greatly improved my grip on the twice I wore them.

Well they look good on the shoe but since buying them we have had no ice so I was going to wait till then to write a review but Amazon keep asking for a review. The item was brought to be a stand by ( just incase item) they are class the item easily stretched my size 10 but still fitted and looked great but as I said we have had no ice to try them out. At times people what a review far to early or expect an early review but should that be our choice to write a review. The emails are annoying

Wir hatten die "Steigeisen" im Island Urlaub dabei. Sie gehen easy über die Schuhe und geben guten Halt auf Eis. Das Packmass ist klein, ebenso das Gewicht. Passt in jeden Koffer und geht problemlos durch den Sicherheits heck am Flughafen ☺️
