Best out of 5 brands. Great height and larger growing space. Dependable. Good price!
My favorite hydrponic unit. I have 10 hydroponic units, from 5 manufacturers. (Yes, I'm embarrassed to admit that). This is the one I keep getting more of. It has very few drawbacks, though I will start with those. 1) I don't care for the electronic indicator for water level. If I wait for that to come on, water would be too low. I just open the fill area cover and look to see how low the water is. And yes, it can be slightly awkward to fill (as mentioned by another reviewer), but they're all like that. Just use a watering can with a small spout and it's fine. 2) the pump is not silent. The first unit I got (a different brand) has a pump I can barely hear when I try. This one I can hear. I almost sent it back because of that, but I got used to it quickly - it's certainly not loud. I have extremely sensitive hearing, and am bothered by almost any noise. This took a day to get used to, and it no longer bothers me. I wouldn't, however, want it right next to my desk where I have to work all day. If you're used to any background noise at all, this won't bother you. 3) the lowest height setting for lights is way too high for seeds. Generally recommended height is 4" above seeds. The lowest setting on this is much higher than that (more like 8"?). It does work, though. The seeds sprout, though they may take a bit longer to grow when the plants are very small. Now the good stuff. The height of this is vastly more versatile than other units. Other planters are too small for most plants, so get this one if you want more versatility in what you plant. It's also an effiicient shape for maximum growing area (as opposed to multiple smaller units that are narrower and often rounded on the corners). And it's cost effective. To plant as much, you'd need 2 smaller units, while this one is reasonably priced ($62 at the time of this review) for more growing space. The settings (timer and clock) are a bit unclear at first, but once I figured them out, all 4 of these (yes, I've gone a bit overboard) have worked well with timers going on and off every day consistently. My plants have sprouted well and seem very happy. The unit is sturdy, lights are great (some units from other brands have lighting that's too dim to be effective), and fill is in the front of the unit instead of at the end, which I find helpful given the larger size of this unit. Also, the green color is really nice. Most other units come in white or black only. And the price o this is reasonable (As of the time of this review). I swithced to this brand because my previous favorite company raised their prices. Just thought I'd share this before I order 3 more of these because my plants are getting too big and need more space. Hydroponics becomes an addiction. I'm currently growing all of my herbs (I use insane amount of 6 differnt kinds of basil, which does fantastic in these units, along with 10 other herbs), plus lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, baby bok choy, kale, small peppers, cutting celery, strawberries, and I'm even trying out some baby cucumbers! (which will probably get too big). Do NOT expect to grow 20 plants in this! The 20 spots allow flexibility, but, as with any hydropinic unit, filling them all will just crowd plants too much and they'll stop growing. For full grown plants, plan on no more than 8 or so, unless you're growing smaller herbs, in which case, maybe 10. This unit is excellent, however, and once you get one, you'll want more. Have fun making your home a greener, most nourishing space.

More pros than cons
Honestly probably a 4.5 but not an option. I'll just list some pro/cons that I think someone looking at this should know. I just received and planted a few days ago so I'll update further later if necessary. Pros👍 -20 pods and 10L tank is great -the light goes up to 25in, significantly higher than other models especially in this price range. -the grow deck legs are a fantastic addition, I'm mad my other 2 from different brands don't have them. I have not had a water change yet but i think they will make it so much easier. They are not even mentioned in the details on amazon🤣 -included 6 caps, wish it had 10. Great quality though, I'm using on a different garden that has trellis holes that let in a lot of light. The ones included with this are white, I'll add a picture of them on my other system. -6 support sticks/trellis sticks. Also trellis holes dont let in as much light as my other models (a 8pod gardencube and a 5 pod idoo) - pump is so quiet, I saw in a different review that it was loud. Mine is not, so I don't know if something was wrong with the other one reviewed. - Water inlet is a in a great spot and i like how it opens and shuts so no worry about losing a cap. Also makes the grow deck 2 pc which should make it easy easier to handle water changes. This 20 pod is pretty big. - when unplugged and replugged in i did not have to reset clock -easy set up Cons👎 -i wish the light came down lower, not sure if it is close enough to start seeds. (Pictures lowest and highest) -the veggie and flowering modes seem to be backwards from my other 2 models. They both have veggie mode as red/white/blue light and flowering/fruit mode as white and red. On this suncoze model flower is red/white/blue and veggie is red/white. Just confusing and I'll be reaching out to seller to see what that's about. -only military time on clock/alarm, easy to set though -no way to see water level. Only a icon on clock area. I wish there was a float that was on deck like other models. Or that it beeped or something to let you know if the water was low -the seed baskets sit so flush to it that the grow domes slide around really easily. Not a huge deal but definitely something that could be improved. I've never put this much effort into a review in my life 😂 I was really going back and forth for days on what i wanted, so i hope this helps some other buyer. I would definitely purchase this again though.

ONE YEAR REVIEW...EXTREMELY SATISFIED..!!!
I am writing this review after almost a year of using this product and would like to say how extremely pleased I am with Suncoze, not only for the unique product which is extremely easy to use, economical than other similar products, allows to grow more plants in limited space, but also for the exceptional customer service they have provided at least on two different occasions for the same product. First time when I purchased the product and assembled it, the lights were on but the pump was taking some time to turn on and I reached out to support saying I have received a defective product. They helped me patiently and assured me of a replacement in case the problem was in the product. However, we realized that the pump started after sometime and I was able to use this product for months without any issue. Recently I cleaned up the product and left it unused for sometime. when I tried connecting again it didnt turn on. I reached out to customer care again, and the experience was equally delightful, even after almost a year, they replaced the product without any issues and sent me a new unit. I would heartily recommend this product to anyone who is looking to buy an indoor hydroponic system.

Pump stopped working
Pump stopped working within 2 weeks. Followed directions, easy set up, everything was going great until the pump stopped working. For the cost that's very disappointing.

Noise level and quality.
I have 3 and these are awesome for growing cut and come again lettuce and micro tomatos, bush beans, and herbs. The higher lights are nice for beans and micro tomatos. It is quiet too. My lights just turned off before the picture but they are bright. They are quiet too and really good quality.
