I was very skeptical this would do anything if at all. I needed it for an NVME SSD that is installed on the back/bottom of my motherboard where absolutely no airflow goes through. I would see it idle at around 40-ish Celsius. Sometimes under heavy load it would climb to 68 Celsius. Installation was super easy just remember to peel the clear protector off the blue heat pad on both sides before installing. THE RESULTS! The same NVME SSD in the same location now idles at around high 20 Celsius. And peaks around mid to high 40 Celsius! That’s a massive improvement and remember, this ssd is located at the bottom/back of the motherboard where absolutely no airflow goes through. 10/10 would highly recommend. The pack or 5 makes it very affordable and for me at least, results were dramatically improved! Your results may differ but this was my experience.

Super easy install for a simple and clean upgrade for my SSD. Does great at keeping it cooler with a thick thermal pad and heat sink materials are quality. Super easy install and stays secure on SSD. Would highly recommend for others. Used in 2 different PC.

The fins could be thinner and more numerous, but these seem to provide at least the bare minimum for a cheap price. I'm planning to cut some down for 2020 drives. Thanks to the company beautiful machining for $1 ea! What a time to be alive!

This is a great value; 5 for the price of 1. It lowered the temp of my PCIe 4 NVMe by almost 8-10 degrees C. I'm using this in a mini pc (Beelink SER5) so the machine doesn't have great temperature regulation anyway. I was getting around 80C during a heavy job. That same job is now topping out at 71C. NVMe's are designed to run hot, but cooling it even a few degrees will extend the life of the drive and keep them from slowing down due to "thermal throttling." Tip for newbies: (1) Don't remove the label on your NVMe unless it's cheap paper or something. The labels are usually metal and are meant to act like a heat spreader. This all goes on top of the label (if there is one). (2) Make sure you remove the plastic strips from the blue silicone tape. Use the alcohol wipe the clean both the nvme and the back of the heatsink, so the silicone adheres well. Try not to get your oily fingerprints on the heatsink. (3) The hottest part of the nvme is usually going to be near to the socket (ie, where the controller chip is). So make sure your silicone tape and heatsink goes as close to the socket pins as possible without preventing it from being able to plug into your device. (4) Don't overthink the rubber bands. They just need to keep the metal heatsink from falling off. Place them so that they aren't bending the nvme.

You get what you pay for but hey it works

Installed on a PCIe 3 and PCIE 4 NVME SSD and noticed no difference in temperature before and after installing heat sink. This product does not work in lowering the temperature for my NVME drives.

These were easy to install and the quality was great, the package came with everything I needed. The temperatures have been perfect on my UNRAID Server, they looked perfect on both my SSD's with a very Low profile and very durable with strong adhesive so I am confident the will last for as long as my system does! It was perfect for my needs and the price was and quality of the product was great!
