Very easy to use! Great product!
So far, I’m really happy with it. The ease of use makes it great! You just put it on your wrist and attach the sensor to your finger. Turn it on. It blinks green while taking the stats. (Re-charging the wrist piece only takes a couple hours). And you’ll see a red glow from the end of your finger sensor. I have very small fingers, but it seems snug enough and goes to work. I put it on my thumb first, thinking that I would need it on a bigger digit. But I think the readings might be more accurate on my left index finger. I had been using my Apple Watch along with the Pillow app to keep an eye on sleep issues. But when the year subscription came up for renewal, I wasn’t real sure I was getting enough info on the Pillow Blood O2 readings. I had dips down into the 80s which were worrisome. Pillow is a good app if you want just a sampling of things like snoring, REM, Blood O2, pulse, etc. But the dips in my Blood 02 deemed it necessary to go further. So I opted to buy this. One price and done. It continually reads the O2 and pulse rate. So easy to use, and then sync to my iPad. The stats are comprehensive. I am hoping to get a handle on it before I inquire on a Sleep Study, and this is the best method to do that. I’m hoping to avoid CPAP. I needed something uncomplicated so that I’ll use it every night. And this truly is very simple to use. The App that you sync the results to, couldn’t be easier. Connects via Bluetooth. No complicated buttons. Just off/on. I love it!

Very useful device!
This is my second purchase from Emay - I've had a fingertip pulse oximeter for about six months and recently purchased this. I have been dealing with speep and heart rate issues most of this year. I am seeing doctors, but being able to have updated data to see how changes I'm making impact sleep/oxygen/HR between visits has helped me make the best choices for myself. The device is easy to use and fairly comfortable to wear- it definitely gives me more flexibility than the clip on one. It stays on and records all night. The HR and average O2 are very close to my Fitbit readings (which were very close to the readings from my last sleep study). The app is easy to use - both devices set up quickly and easily and connect consistently. Being able to add notes with relevant information makes it easy to remember what is what. I love that I can pull up the relevant recordings to discuss with my doctor.

Perfect for Recording at Night
This product arrived in a nice box with very detailed instructions that were easy to follow. I have sleep apnea and breathing issues that never went away after covid. I need to monitor my oxygen and heart rate from time to time to make sure my therapy is working. I have used the cheap pulse ox monitors from other companies that only go on your finger. I have had too many issues with recording or the device coming off of my finger. There were no issues like that with this device because it is attached to the watch. The watch is not uncomfortable at all. I actually could hardly feel that I had it on. The finger piece is soft and it even comes with a disposable fabric option for additional comfort. I will just use the one it came with to save money from ordering the fabric replacements. I also love that the battery is rechargeable. In the long run, you will save a lot of money because of this. I also like that once you get the Emay app downloaded and your device paired, you don't have to mess with any of it when you go to sleep. It has 48 hours of internal storage so just simply push the button and you're done. You can upload whenever you have time. The app also gives a great report which is a plus. I know that money can be an issue for some people, but if you have health issues it is definitely worth the investment. It is like night and day from the previous one I bought. It was a cheap pulse ox that cost $14 and I had so many issues with it which kept me from monitoring my health. Emay also has excellent customer service and offers warranty on their products. I highly suggest this device for those who are trying to monitor their sleep. *Note this device seems to be intended for sleep or long periods of time without having to quickly access the vitals. If you need quick access to vitals or just want to randomly check throughout the day then I would suggest one of the finger devices.

Great overnight detailed reading
I already had a finger-clip-type oximeter from Emay, synced to my I-Phone. The old one is helpful, but not very consistent. It was hard to get readings many days, due to cold fingers and bad peripheral circulation. The new overnight device is more comfortable on my finger. It doesn't wake me up at night, and runs for a long time. I just have to remember to charge it between uses. The first night, it turned off fairly quickly, probably because I forgot to charge up my new purchase. When I bought the Sleep-O2, I initially had trouble syncing it to my I-Phone. The app was already loaded for the old finger-clip device, and the new Speep-O2 wouldn't show up on my phone. I tried to disable all my bluetooth devices, and then take the battery out of the old finger clip. Not helpful. Finally, I removed the Emay app altogether from my phone. Then I was able to reload the app and synchronize the new Sleep-O2. After that, both oximeters show up when I sync them for reviewing readings. The minute by minute detail on the Sleep-O2 is amazing. There's more data than I ever want to see. The numbers seem more realistic than on the old finger clip device. I did notice that the very first minute's readings on the Sleep-O2 are bogus. It takes a minute for it to "warm up" and get a good reading. Because of the initial bad reading, the summary of nightly data shows unlikely numbers that are very low, and need to be ignored when assessing your data. It threw me for a loop, for a minute, when I saw a heart rate of 30 beats per minute and oxygen saturation of 40. Then I realized this was an artifact of the device. The wrist band is comfortable, but in the morning, my finger felt a little weird and stiff after 5 hours on the machine. The strange compressed feeling disappeared in a minute or so. All-in-all, a very helpful device and more accurate than the old style.

Easy to use. Great stats, reports, graphs and second by second monitoring info.
I am generally very happy with the EMAY SleepO2 Wrist Recording Pulse Oximeter. It works works well, easy to use and the associated app provides a wealth of information, stats, reports and graphs to assess your overnight or episodic SpO2 and heart rate. Very useful for correlating the recorded info with the more general stats that might be provided for sleep by activity watches. My only complaints are design feature issues. The recording and transmitting unit, that straps to your wrist like a small watch, is very small and light weight. But the battery life is also very short at only about 10 hours. I would have gladly accepted the wrist unit being twice as large to get two or three times greater battery life. The micro USB socket for plugging in the finger tip sensor sleeve doubles as the charging port. That means you have to detach the sensor every time your charge the unit, which, as mentioned, is every day you use the device due to the limited battery life. I would have preferred that they had a port for the sensor and a port for charging. Also that the ports used USB-C not micro USB. And lastly the strap for holding the recording unit on your wrist is a plastic snap band, more like what you would see for a hospital ID tag, not a wristwatch band. I would have preferred a proper standard width watchband, and a replaceable one. All that said the info from the device is excellent and very useful.

Surprisingly simple to use
After a recent in-home sleep study showed that my sleep apnea was being only partially controlled by my CPAP, and that my blood oxygen levels were falling to unsafe levels during sleep, the medical system and my health insurance company are going to make me jump through more hoops for more months before I can get any actual treatment. Being proactive, I bought this EMAY Recording Pulse Oximeter to monitor my oxygen levels for myself. It gave me the same (scary) results as the sleep study that I had to wait months for. Not wanting to risk brain damage, I got my hands on a concentrator to feed oxygen into my CPAP and a suggested O2 setting from my doctor (who would probably advise that I NOT self-treat). I'm using the EMAY oximeter to verify that everything's working. I've gone from oxygen-starved to feeling good about my levels thanks to being able to get reports every morning via my oximeter. They tell me that my overnight O2 levels are now ideal. The oximeter was ready to go, right out of the box, and even a senior like me was able to quickly peruse the instructions and use it the night I received it. The finger probe is comfortable, yet secure, and I honestly don't even notice that I've got the device on during the night. I was expecting a hassle transferring the data to my phone, but the Bluetooth linked up immediately. The app was easy to download to my phone and stepped me through the simple process of emailing the data to my computer so I could print the reports, which are very similar in format to the ones that the sleep lab sent me. I would much rather have done everything the medically approved way, and I'm still going to jump through the hoops to get a full diagnosis and treatment plan from the medicos, but in the meantime, I have the comfort of knowing that I'm getting the right amount of oxygen, thanks to the EMAY oximeter.

Cannot disable Bluetooth at night, disrupting slow-wave and REM sleep
I continue to be disappointed that companies making these devices overlook the effect electromagnetic radiation has on sleep. Why would you wear a small device for 7-9 hours at night, often lying right near your head, depending on your sleep position, if it is emitting 1 to 10 mW/m² at a distance of about 1 foot to 1-2 inches (the specific measurements we took while wearing the watch). Multiple studies have shown that exposure to specifically this level of RF radiation has been linked to the suppression of melatonin, a hormone crucial for regulating sleep-wake cycles. Lower melatonin levels can disrupt the onset and quality of sleep, affecting both slow-wave (deep) sleep and REM sleep. I am a scientist and researcher who is not just stating an opinion here. I have looked into this subject very deeply, including multiple objective, controlled measurements using EEG and HRV tracking. RF radiation in the range stated above has even been shown to alter neural activity, potentially interfering with the brain's ability to transition between different sleep stages. This can lead to fragmented sleep and reduced time spent in slow-wave and REM. If you were to use this watch (and similar devices that do not offer an “airplane mode”), prolonged exposure to RF radiation may further induce cellular stress, which can affect the body's ability to repair and regenerate during sleep. This stress can disrupt the restorative functions of slow-wave sleep and the cognitive benefits of REM. Our group has been tracking a cohort of ~1,000 people for the past 10 years and we have seen significant cognitive decline, metabolic dysfunction, immune system weakness, and other generalized metabolic dysfunction in the group that has regular exposure to EMFs at night, including Bluetooth and WiFi. It should be no surprise that those that sleep with their cell phones turned on in close proximity to their sleeping area suffer the most derangement in these measures. Given the potential for even low-level RF radiation to disrupt sleep patterns and the significant health implications of chronic sleep disruptions, it is advisable to minimize exposure to EMF fields during sleep. While the Emay SleepO2 watch and other Bluetooth-emitting devices emit relatively low levels of EMF, the cumulative effects of nightly exposure should be concerning. Sadly, there are few consumer devices out there that are mindful of this problem. Oura ring and Garmin smartwatches, for example, do have airplane mode, but their accuracy and SpO2 measurement frequency are not at the level to be qualified for sleep apnea tracking. All in all, I had high hopes for this device and was disappointed once again by what should already be a well-handled problem in this particular industry.

Not Exactly Top Quality But Still Functional
As for sleep wearable pulse oximetry, this model is not anywhere near the quality is could be but it will get the job done provided you have reasonable expectations and understand its limits. My biggest critisms of this oximeter are that it utilizes Micro-USB connections instead of USB-C and it only has a maximum 10 hour battery life. A very short USB-A to Micro-USB cable is supplied but users must supply their own USB charger. Since the non-replaceable rechargeable battery provides for only 10 hours of use, you must sleep less than 10 hours and have all data downloaded into your phone’s app before the end of 10 hours. Don’t even think of going past 10 hours unless you don’t mind losing all of your acquired data. Over the life of the sensor, this battery life will get progressively worse as more and more charge/discharge cycles are accumulated. Prospective buyers should also know that this oximeter is NOT compatible with the Bluetooth pulse oximeter capability of Resmed 11 CPAPs and BiPAPs. As for accuracy, this pulse oximeter appears to be at least as accurate as many low cost OTC pulse oximeters but keeping the sensor in the right place on your finger during sleep can be challenging. I recommend users consider applying a small strip or two of hypoallergenic 3M Nexcare paper tape to ensure the sensor stays in place and its wire doesn’t get caught in bedding. It is important to not let your finger extend beyond the distal end of the sensor assembly. (This is also mentioned in the provided user manual.) The sensor wire came with a tiny velcro strap whose adhesive was somehow starting to dissolve and left a sticky residue all over the sensor’s wire. The velcro strap was too small to comfortably fit my finger so it was useless to start with. Being that this sensor uses Micro USB connections, the tabs on the male connector will eventually fatigue and break off which will potentially render the device useless until repairs are made. All that said, this pulse oximeter is a bit over-priced and is behind current technological trends. It definetly isn’t intended for long-term or everyday use but is likely OK for occassional non-critical observations of pulse oximetry. If you need a pulse oximeter for critical observations of pulse oximetry, especially for every day or frequent use, this is NOT the pulse oximeter for you. It would be best to consult a Respiratory Therapist or Physician for product recommendations anytime the monitoring of pulse oximetry is or could be critical or of vital importance to good health.
