Best anti-itch product on the market!
I used to use this when I lived in Australia. And you know they have tons of biting bugs over there! Big ones, too…I purchased two tubes when I moved away from Australia almost two decades ago, and FINALLY used up the last of it. (Might I add that the product was effective despite being well past its expiration date?)I finally found more on Amazon, and was thrilled to order it. This is the same product, with the same amazing effectiveness that I used to buy in Aus.Only downside is that it leaves a whitish, crusty residue where you apply it, so it is visible, but if it helps stop the itching, who cares?Buy this $h*t if you, like me, get eaten alive at every opportunity. It works. Period.

Works
I discovered Stingose (not Stigose as the product is titled here) on a trip to New Zealand's southern island a couple of years ago. The sand flies in the Fjordland region can be horrid, as I found out by foolishly not DEETing myself before going to a local outdoor restaurant one night. Stingose is the only thing that provided relief from the itching (the bites just laughed at Benedryl), and the relief was almost instantaneous. True it leaves a white chalky residue, but I did not find it got on clothes. It was also easy to rinse off with water and a rag. If I looked a little funny with white blotches on my legs it was a small price to pay for the comfort provided.

Chalky, sticky feeling
I hate the texture of this so much. Once it dries it adds a chalky, sticky feel to everything it touches and it's pretty much impossible to wash off even with soap. Even if it was effective to make my bug bites feel better, I wouldn't want to use this product. Really disappointed as I have severe allergic reactions to bug bites and I was hoping this would bring relief. Instead it just added a gross texture all over everything it touched.

Very Effective
I live in South Carolina and we have plenty of biting critters, including ones you can’t even see. This product really works! It greatly reduces the itching and stinging associated with all sorts of bug bites. It does leave a powdery residue, but that’s small price to pay for the relief it gives.
