Carhartt Men's Rd Rutland Thermal Lined Hooded Zip Front Sweatshirt

I bought this same zippered Carhartt sweatshirt about 12-15 years ago and was thrilled to be able to buy the same model when the zipper pull broke off of the zipper after years of heavy use and regular washing. if it weren't for the missing pull tab, the rest of the all-metal zipper is still working good. During cold NY winters, I virtually live in this thing. It is warm and comfortable. It has a good length so it doesn't ride-up. Please note that these run large and are sized more like winter coats. So, you MUST buy one-size smaller than your usual size, especially if you plan to wear it as a sweatshirt or under a winter coat. Please keep in mind that it is at least 50% cotton, so if you buy the dark-black color, you can anticipate that It will fade a little-bit over the years. Even so, my old black Carhartt kept most of it's dark black color and only looked 2-4 years-old and not it's real age.

This is a very warm sweater, the quality is excellent, really my only gripe is that the sizes are a little off, the large fit much more like an extra large. But that has turned out to be good when I want to add layers underneath, as it is the torso that is large, the sleeves are the correct length.

Very comfortable, very warm, fairly rain resistant. I definitely recommend spending a little bit of extra on this one, you can use it as a winter jacket in NC.

Nice jacket. Order one size down. I wear xl in everything. Ordered xl and it was huge. Ordered a large and it fit well. Not tight at all. Really like the hoodie its warm and keeps the mist and snow from getting in.

I needed a new heavy duty hoodie and the Carhardt fit the bill. This appears to be well made is water resistant and it’s warm. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this item again

Very warm! Had to order a size smaller than I usually wear. As others stated, recommended with a long sleeve base layer because thermal material is scratchy. Hood runs a little small, nothing that bothers me though.UPDATE 3/16/21: As others have mentioned, the zipper handle broke off in the washing machine tonight. Its not completely unusable now, just extremely inconvienent. I reached out to Carhartt directly for an exchange because I’m outside the Amazon Return policy range.

I can't wait till WINTER !!!! A bit oversized and that's ok. That will allow for some shrinkage. Over the years I've purchase a lot of hooded sweatshirts and this is by far the best quality and best fitting I've ever bought. You get what you pay for. Highly recommended especially if you're a tradesperson.
