Very well designed & useful litter box. Someone used very good common sense when they designed this one. Very easy for cat to use, she loves it. Very easy to swap out the crappy litter in the bottom drawer below. Have not had anything malfunction on this unit, works like a charm. the only issue I do have is not because of any manufacturing problems, but, because I have not been able to get the program to work on my smart phone yet, which is just me not being very savvy when it comes to this stuff. will be contacting tech support to get this sorted out when I have some time to do so. will report back on how customer support was with this company.

I've watched commercials for a different product with interest for a long time and just couldn't justify splurging on something I considered an intriguing luxury. Ultimately, I arm wrestled myself into agreeing with my indulgent logic that I would be doing my friend a favor when cat sitting so she didn't have to worry about the litter. (Yes, my indulgent devil beat the crap out of my frugal angel, which is how I wound up writing this review.) I like not forgetting to do this chore every other day. I'll be honest and say that with one cat, she's forgiving and sometimes I just forgot. With this product, I don't feel guilty about being a slacker because the app tells me when I need to get my butt downstairs to empty the bin. I really can get between 8-10 days without emptying. A couple times, the hood closed on me and forced me to do it, but it took a few minutes and I moved on to do something else (like work). The bags fit well. The app also is easy to set up and I appreciate the reminders to empty the bin. The only thing I can complain about is that the unit doesn't include several rolls of the bags; I opted to buy extra when I purchased this unit so I'm not caught without when I need them. I wouldn't use my own garbage bags for this because the slots to insert the handles are fairly specific and sometimes if you don't have the bag lined up just right, the system doesn't reset and rebalance and you have to get it right before it does. The replacement bags are fairly expensive for poop bags, but considering you don't have to replace all that often, it's not the most expensive indulgence I entertain. If you have more than one cat, this might not be a cost effective option. If I had two, I would probably be changing every 4 days or so. Big plus: my cat loves it. She watched me set it up with interest and couldn't wait to jump in to use it when I backed away after admiring it. I didn't need catnip to lure her there either, which I consider a big win as well. Also, my electrical outlet is not near the ground (I keep this in a closet coming in from my garage) so I had to run an extension cord to make this work. The power cord isn't very long, so plan accordingly for that as well. At some point, I'll get my electrician back out to move that box closer to the ground or install a second one. I think it was installed up higher for alarm systems... All in all, I have no regrets and feel kind of smug leaving my friend this weekend without this chore.

Cleans great, no sticking, app is good. Great solution for larger or claustrophobic cats. It’s the favorite box of all three cats ranging from 10 weeks to three years old. I put a small stepstool for the kitten, who dives in gleefully. My complaint is the entry side angle, which isn’t adjustable. So if the cats fling litter in the direction of the entry side, yeah you got litter all over the floor. Why can’t they update the app to adjust the angle of the entry side? I’d prefer it to stay straight up (like a bowl). Seems like an easy fix.

What a great product! It's no smell, clean, and quiet. My cat used it right away. The slow-moving waste removal is genius. The bag area is easy to use and stays clean. I'm happy with this purchase!

I have the kitty robots 3 & 4 . My number 3 hardly works the correct way always an issue. I bought this. I like that it doesn't take up a lot of space and it works great. I have large cats and they have no problem using it. I would recommend this for sure.

Like that I don’t have to clean litter boxes daily. I have 3 cats and the bin collection only needs me to empty every 3 days. Cons: when bin is full, cats don’t have access until you empty which is ok if you notice it but if it happens in the middle of night it’s a problem.

I wanted to wait a bit so I could see this auto box truly in action. Within the weeks I've had it, I've only used one small grain litter. It seems to work well with the machine but does leave littler clumps behind. One thing that surprised me is that the bottom of the litterbox is a flexible plastic almost like a hammock. It seems sturdy, but I always do worry that I will gouge a hole in it accidentally when I use the scoop, which is necessary because quite often peeclumps will cement themselves to this flexi-plastic more that the hard plastic sides. However, even with needing a bit of after cleaning, I still think it is a decent litterbox. It was very easy to set up, and does so the majority of the cleaning, depositing all the soiled littering an easy-to-remove bag underneath. It does sit fairly high, with no ramp attachment, so if your pet has problems climbing or jumping it may be much, but mine don't seem too bothered I'm not sure how it compares to other models, but for the price, I would say it is pretty nice.

I’ve been wanting a litter robot for years but was worried my cat wouldn’t use it due to being claustrophobic. This open top litter robot is perfect for her!
