We were skeptical when ordering this couch after reading the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. The order arrived a week earlier than expected with both boxes. The couch is beautiful, sturdy, very easy to put together and looks as nice as the pictures show on Amazon. It is a smaller sized couch and the cushions are firm but that was expected when looking for a Victorian era style couch. The couch fits 3 people comfortably. The fabric is beautiful velvet. Our toddler son has spilled milk on it twice and it was easily cleaned up with no staining or change to the fabric. I would say that if you’re looking for a couch to lounge on and watch TV all day, this might not be the one. It is great for everyday use and for our lifestyle, watching a show before bed or visiting with friends, it is perfect.

For the price, this couch is absolutely worth it. It is beautiful and sturdier than a vintage couch that I had bought for four times as much money. Fabric is great quality, stiching is almost perfect, studs are all there and the feet are sturdy and well finished. The pillows are ok. One isn't as full as the other but I didn't buy the couch for the pillows. I'll add my own. That being said, this couch is very, very short height wise. Its not an issue for me because I am short, but it would be uncomfortable for taller people. The other thing that I should’ve known better is that assembly is required. I paid extra for in room delivery and I thought that meant the couch was going to be assembled by the company delivering (like furniture companies do.) So I had a great big box delivered in my living room. Luckily the hardest part was taking it out of the box. I did not have any damaged parts and I was very careful with cutting the box open. I followed the instructions. The most challenging part was fitting the back piece into the side pieces and that was only because I was trying to lift the back part by myself to slide it into the grooves. And I solved that challenge by placing a couple of books under the back piece to raise it up to the height needed (kind of like jacking up a car to put the tires on). And if you have a second person to help you, you won’t have that issue at all. That was the most challenging aspect, everything else was simple. There were only four bolts involved. The assembly took me 30 minutes at most. I think I spent more time worrying about how long it would take to put this couch together. Love this couch!!

I bought this because I liked its size, color, and appearance — which was a mistake. It is poor quality and must be assembled! It does not fit together tightly enough. If you like the comfort of sitting on a rock, then this is for you.

I have updated my original review below from Nov 21st and changed my 1 star review to a 3 star. I have also included pictures.I was disappointed with the couch's arrival for reasons I stated in my original review below. While I'm still irritated with the fact I have to go through packaging everything back up and sending it back, I have updated the review to 3 stars for the following reasons:1) They are accepting return of the couch and it looks like they are paying for the return shipping due to the issues (If that isn't the case I will update my review again but that' what I was told and the process of getting the label was really easy).2) After the couch was set up (aside from the tears) it looks really nice and the color is rich. the nail heads really pop against the color of the couch.3) It's firm, which I like and I think it could withstand normal wear and tear but not sure about how long the cushions would last as they are not as firm.4) Had I got it in good condition, I probably would have kept it but I can't justify keeping a couch that I paid what I did that is somewhat delicate and already had tears in it.Initial review Nov 21 "I’m disappointed to say the least . I think I may have gotten someones returned couch. I’ve only on unpacked a couple pieces and so far it has three tears in it and one of the nailheads is popping out. There is also smudging of some black (what seems like grease on a few pieces but they are pieces that are out of view. There are no directions as claimed in the question section to help put it together and no instructions. The color is also later than I thought it would be but as far is that it still looks good. All update with pictures .

Product arrived early and in great condition. It’s exactly what I expected. It is very firm, but I expect it will soften with time. Construct is much better than others I’ve seen from Amazon and east to assemble. Lovely fabric and looks great!

Good so far but I don't know how it will hold up long term. The couch assembled without much hardware and will come apart if you move it incorrectly. It looks good and is comfortable enough but I don't think it's meant for daily use.

Very easy to put together. Soft and looks great in person. Not as rich in color as I thought it would be but still lovely.

I love the look, the blue is a gorgeous ink color and the feel of the material is great. The only downside is that the bottom cushions are a bit stiff- I believe that they will take on “bootie prints” from use fairly quickly however, this is a secondary living room and won’t be used much so worked well for my needs.
