How big this tree, is it in one gallon container

It is about 12" high and comes in a pot 4"x4" x 6" high not a gallon container

Does anyone have any advice on a light to use for this? I am using 4, t5 ho 6500 degree bulbs. Should i go to a 200w metal halide?

I have mine in a pot in a window. You can use a smaller wattage grow lite and still get nice results.

can this survive in full sun?

Definitely not. I have them under one of the Mars Hydro 300 watt LED bulbs and they started to brown at about 24 inches away. I moved them a little further away at around 48 inches and they seem to be thriving now. Assuming the sun is more powerful than my light I can speculate that the tree needs shade.
