Most aftermarket USB-C cables will not fit
2022 REVIEW: Overall the product does what it says it does. Unfortunately, the only USB-C cable that will fit and charge the iPad while this product is attached is the Apple OEM cable. Most other brand USB-Cables will not fit in the hole for the charging port and will be blocked from being fully inserted, thereby preventing charging or data transfer. I used a drill to widen the hole because I don't like to use my Apple OEM cables while I travel. If you've ever used an Apple OEM cable in your car or loaned it to a "friend" for five minutes, you now how the cables have a tendency of wandering off. I continue to use mine, but I figured I should mention this slight flaw so that others don't get caught off guard. Otherwise, it's very easy to use. It keeps the pen more secure than the magnet alone and works well with the keyboard and other magsafe covers. 2024 UPDATE: I fixed the cable issue by cutting out a bit around the USB-C port. Now all cables work fine. However I'm on my second one because they are flimsy and break easily. I won't be buying a third one because I'm lost my pencil twice. Thankfully, I found it each time, but I'm done. I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 star. Save your money. PHOTOS: 1 & 2 w/ Apple Magic Keyboard and Cover. 3 & 4 w/ magsafe mount. Not the pencil bay is broken.

Needed some modification of the USB HOLE.
Good protection for this large Tablet. But I had to use a Dremer tool to enlarge the hole for the Thunderbolt USB-C plug as all USB-C plugs are not equally small in width!

Fits Apple Magic perfectly!
I was concerned about the negative review on this case that is supposed to work Apple Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 13 inch. But took a chance anyway. This case is completely compatible with the Magic Keyboard and works exceptionally well. I put this case on my iPad Pro 13 inch M4 and then connected it magnetically to my Magic Keyboard and the keyboard recognizes my iPad and works normally. Closing the setup also works well. It closes completely without any issues. This is different from posted videos. I then tried to replicate the videos by using the case without the iPad Pro and it doesn’t close. But that’s not what it is designed to do. It is designed to work with the iPad Pro in the case, after which it closes automatically with the magnets built in the keyboard case. So, yes it works beautifully and it comes highly recommended! I like that it has a built in pencil holder, which is better than other similar cases without the holder.

Does what you’d expect with one big area for improvement
Other than being ridiculously expensive for what is essentially a razor thin plastic case, this really does exactly what you want if you are looking to be able to easily remove the iPad from your Magic Keyboard to use it as a tablet. However, it only gets four stars since it is not easy to get the pencil out of the holder. There is a cut out on the bottom, which is intended to allow you to pop it up and out, but that is in the middle of the pencil so it isn’t very quick or easy to grab it with one hand. The design could be greatly improved if they moved that cut out to one end of the pencil holder. That way you could pop out a part of the pencil that would stick up and make it easier to grab.

Cheap, not worth the price!
This is the equivalent of buying a low quality phone case at a dollar tree, but for an iPad. It’s very thin, which is okay, but then the material is this cheap plastic. The volume button is difficult to reach. All buttons on this case are hard to reach. I’m pretty sure most of the reviews are fake. This is the realest review you’ll get. This items from China, expect it to be like it’s from dollar tree. Update: After restarting the iPad, it now is in sync with the case so it can open up to the screen properly when unfolding the case. Still feels very cheap and I would no doubt be buying from someone else if there was another brand. This is just so cheap

Won't last
I've gone through 3 of these in the last 2 months. I wanted a secure spot for my apple pencil so it would stay connected to my iPad when it was in the pocket of my backpack. I'm in the medical field so my iPad doesn't get much use other than when I'm in the library, otherwise, I use hospital computers. Long story short, the case doesn't see much activity and the iPad is well protected in the cushioned pocket of my backpack which is on my chair most of the day. The first one arrived cracked with the packaging mangled and poorly taped together. I think they sent me someone else's returned product. I sent it back for a new one and it arrived in pristine condition. 3 weeks later, I went to use my iPad but the keyboard and trackpad on the case wouldn't respond. The iPad itself was functioning fine, though. I examined the case and found one of the electrodes (pictured) had fallen out. I contacted Amazon and they gladly sent another one. I thought the third time was a charm, but again, 3 weeks later, my keyboard and trackpad were not responding. Another electrode in a different location had fallen out. The product is flimsy, but that doesn't really matter because it sits in between the case and the iPad itself. Regardless, I contacted Amazon again and was told to contact Switcheasy to inquire about warranty coverage since I wanted to see if a 4th one would hold up. I communicated with L. Amber who told me my third one was shipped to me at no cost and they won't be sending me another one. After checking, the third one was, indeed, no cost to me, however, I would caution anyone buying this product expecting it to function as it should for any reasonable length of time. If they could make the product slightly less flimsy and reconfigure the electrodes, they would have a solid product. As it stands, I would look elsewhere, if I were you.

An Honest Review
I feel like sometimes people see products and expect manufacturers to be able to deny the laws of physics. The truth is if you are looking for something that is compatible with the Magic Keyboard you have to understand you’re going to be getting something pretty thin. It has to be able to fit in clothes while using this keyboard and this product does exactly that. Yes, at one end the cover does not extend all the way, but that is simply because once again due to the laws of physics, two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time lol. There would be no possible way to close this due to the fact of how the Magic Keyboard is set up. You were wanting to buy this if you want a cover that you could put on your iPad and pop it in and out of the Magic Keyboard case. You want something thin that will protect it from scratches. If you are looking for something super durable that could fall from 68 feet and still protected this isn’t for you. This isn’t some sort of OtterBox defender. For me, it did exactly what I wanted it to.

Bon dans l ensemble
Je le trouve bien, il protège bien le pencil et l ipad. Un peu plus dur d acces pour les boutons volumes et n est pas protégé sur le dessous de la tablette. Par contre, il est très magnétique et se detache rarement

Keeping it
There are quite as few mixed reviews for this case. I wanted something to protect my IPad when connected to the magic keyboard and also to keep the Apple Pencil secure. This case appears to be the only case on the market at the moment that does what I want it to do. I was dubious about ordering one as some say the magic keyboard doesn’t close properly. Well I am happy to confirm it does close with this case on. It fits perfectly and is very secure with the magnets. The Apple Pencil also fits securely as well, which is exactly what I wanted. I think this must be the upgraded version. All cut outs are in the right place, any yes, my Apple charger fits securely with the case on. The only very minor gripe is accessing the volume buttons, although they are accessible, you have to use the tip of your finger / finger nail to increase and decrease the volume due to the start of the compartment for the Apple Pencil. Is it worth £39.99? Well it does seem rather expensive for what it is, however I am keeping it as it does exactly what I wanted it to do. Would I recommend it, ‘yes’ is the answer.
