Are these flexible plastic or rigid?

More flexible.. You can't bend in half them, though.

Are these matte or glossy?

Matte. They do not make the type look sharper or clearer.

How do I get the protective film off of the rulers?

Is there a protective covering on both sides of the rulers or just one side?

Would these work with a Kindle?

I guess it could. We only use them with books. But why not
