Hi and thank you for a great question. It is a 14:1 "extract". Meaning it take 14kg of powdered mushroom to make 1kg of potent extract (concentrate). Which means you need less for huge benefits. It's why it is a small pouch. You need less.

Would this work to drink on it's own, with just hot water (instead of adding it to tea or coffee)?

I do and I treat it like tea or coffee, as in I flavor it with creamer and make it my morning treat. I stopped drinking caffeine so I really love this product.
