Easy to use , I can't believe i waited so long to get one of these , it works perfect

This is my first experience with a Mandoline, so I'm not going to be able to compare different versions! That said -- I'm not big into kitchen gadgets if something simple - like a knife - will work just as well. I alway feel like I'm trading simple for something more complicated just to do the same thing. And - honestly - that's the case for this Mandoline! EXCEPT - (OMG) - how fast it slices and how even the slices are makes this device worth it! These two attributes alone make the extra clean-up time worth it, IMO! And the clean up time is pretty minimal! More than a knife, but way less than a greasy frying pan! Granted, I've only used this (so far) for potatoes (ah, beautifully evenly sliced potates for scalloped potatoes) and onions, but I am so happy with this product that I booted a hardly ever used kitchen applicance from my kitchen applicance cabinet to make room for this beauty (fyi -- the stand mixer was moved -- I hardly have used mixer since I no longer make huge batches of christmas cookies). The ease in slicing potatoes alone makes this Mandoline worth it for me. I hope to try it on tomatoes this summer!! thin sliced homegrown tomatoes for BLTs -- heaven! Now for the "caution" -- figuring out how to use it for the first time was time absorbing and confusing/difficult FOR ME (maybe I'm just "dumb"). But once that was mastered, setup is always the same process -- slick as a whistle - no more problems! I wish I could bold some of my comments.

Cuts peeled yellow potatoes perfectly, with a dial to adjust the thickness. My knives skills are mediocre at best and slippery potatoes were always the scariest to cut. No way would I trust myself with a regular mandolin with an exposed blade. I looked at so many other mandolins with more cutting styles, but hopefully there is less plastic to break on this simple one-type-of-slice style. Rubber feet keeps it sturdy, and it cuts quickly and cleanly.

I have cut my finger tips several times on a regular mandolin. With this slicer, you insert the item to be sliced, and use the pump feeder to do the work. So easy and fast! I thinly sliced potatoes and squash for a gratin in no time and clean up was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Best mandolin slicer I have ever owned! The blade is sharp. The slicer is very sturdy. Slices through apples like butter.

I just used my new OYKEFAW mandoline Slicer and it is awesome. Super easy and perfect slices. I've tried other slicers that you have to slide the food up and down by hand and they always sagged in the middle when you put pressure on it and everything squished up against the blade and didn't cut worth beans. The last one I bought, I used it once cutting tomatoes and the tomatoes were smashed into a mess. I threw it away immediately. Now I finally have a great slicer for my kitchen. Definitely recommend!!
