Works well, expensive compared to other brands
Mother has had her printer for many years, these are the he best for her computer, however they are quite expensive, maybe less expensive for newer printer.

Worth paying more for...
Works perfect in my HP desk jet, which the off-brand or re-manufactured HP cartriges do not often do. Will dry out and freeze up if not used at least once or twice a week, but that's the nature of desk jets. Otherwise, it produces very fine and flawless prints. You get about 200 pages of typical text and letters. Worth paying the price for... use quality HP paper for best results.

Stay with your old printer
Oh yes, like many of you out there, the price was so outrageous for a replacement ink cartridge -- that I was considering just buying a whole printer. However, once I had looked at the printer models out there (and the customer reviews on them) it was evident that unless you spend a considerable sum and get a good one, the machine will fail within about 6 months. It's almost as if they were designed that way. Anyway, I opted for a genuine HP cartridge and stayed with my old HP 833 printer. It went right in and I now have a perfect printer again. One last detail: I looked up and ordered the "15" and received the "45". Don't worry -- it fits like the 15 does and has (according to one of the reviewers here) a larger ink capacity. Hey, that works for me! I'm back in the black, so to speak. Oh wow, what a lame pun. Very pleased. (Non Amazon vendor -- begins with "Y").

I needed to print important papers. I pulled an old printer out of the abyss of the garage, turned it on, and It Worked! Only problem is the ink was 15 years old. Did not know if I could find ink for a printer this old. Oh Of Course I need to check Amazon. You had it and the ink fits the printer and is great. Who knew they still made ink for these old things. Good ink.

Superior Product
Like everything else, the only down side is, the price went up. I don't use refills as the tend to have too many problems.
