How do I choose a brace?

If you need a brace, visit a professional medical aid provider or physiotherapist for expert advice. They can help you choose the right size and type, ensuring proper fit and function. Always consult an expert for the best results.

Should I keep my brace on in bed?

Yes, a brace can be worn while asleep when this is desirable for a certain treatment. However, it is advised to loosen the bands somewhat to avoid the risk that blood vessels are pinched off.

How do I maintain my brace?

To maintain your brace, wash it regularly in a laundry bag without fabric softener and avoid the dryer. Close the Velcro before washing to keep it lint-free. Remove any residue by hand using a brush or comb to ensure proper adhesion.

How long does a brace last?

A brace can be worn and washed hundreds of times, but it will wear out eventually. The degree of wear will depend on the type of brace, how often it is used, the amount of perspiration produced and the local frictional forces.
