Weak spring and soft screws
This looks nice but even on maximum it can't close a gate. Need two to work. The screws are quite soft steel. Threads deform and head sheers off.

Buy this! Avoid going for the cheapest gate spring.
I fell into the trap of buying the cheapest spring gate closer and it was a nightmare, couldn't tension it enough to close the gate without the pins shooting out etc. Sent it back and bought this and was instantly happy!
