Morning Star - Vanilla 200 Sticks and Holder by NIPPON KODO, Japanese Quality Incense, Since 1575

Wow. I wasn't expecting this. I've always had issues with incense. Usually too strong, bad smells, and will sending me into sneezing fits. These are mellow, smell great, and don't cause me to runny for allergy pills. The only issue I have is that I wish they burned longer. Maybe it's because I'm using them in a windy area, but they're gone after about 20 minutes. About the scent itself, there's nothing really vanilla about them. If you're thinking vanilla candle, this isn't it. However, they are mellow, kinda sweet, and not super strong. Still... I will definitely be buying these again.

Best incense ever

I love Morning Star incense! The only problem with it is that smells more like burning smoke for the first 2-3 minutes. It also takes a LONG time to clear out of your room when you're done with it, but overall, the scent is worth it. If you're expecting a Bath & Bodyworks type vanilla, you're sadly mistaken. It's a very natural smelling vanilla with a pinch of patchouli, which may not be for everyone.

Keep my bathroom fresh after terrible things happen in there.

I received my order quickly and I am very pleased with this scent. It is a soft warm scent, and the incense has a very clean, even burn. My favorite 'vanilla' incense so far! The only downside is the sticks are so small, they do not last very long at all, however they are great for small rooms that can get choked in smoke from larger sticks. Being familiar with this brand I knew the size and burn time before purchase. Our large livingroom with vaulted ceilings doesn't hold the scent very long, but in bedrooms the scent lingers and is very enjoyable. I like being able to light a stick in a smaller room or bathroom, and let it burn down without having to put it out early due to the room being too smokey.

I have cultural connections to both Japanese and Native American cultures. I'm finding this Morning Star brand of incense quite acceptable for use in my home. Be aware it is "Japanese style" (no wood stick) and made in Viet Nam, not Japan. This vanilla scent is mild and light, very pleasant in summer. It's very calming to me in the evenings, not heavy or overpowering like the pungent, putrid smelling Indian style incenses. I also use MS brand's cedarwood scent when it's colder outside, it's great at getting rid of undesirable indoor odors/mustiness, and has a sharper scent that is still pleasant and calming. When I lived in Hawai'i I discovered Sennenko brand, actually made in Japan...an indescribable calming scent that was so nice... it's hard to find and very expensive. This Morning Star brand is different, but still pleasant and very economical. Next I will try MS sage scent- but my expectations are quite high- I've lived out on the Oregon high desert where I've harvested, dried, wrapped and burned fresh sage, so we will see! 🤔 I wish someone would make a Native American style sweetgrass scent! It's braided and used in those cultures for purification, and smells wonderful!

I lit a stick of this the other day and it occurred to me that it was a perfect scent for the holidays. It has that kind of warm vanilla sugar cookie scent that you find in holiday candles.

La marca es muy buena y tiene mucha variedad. Para mí el de vainilla es el que mejor huele. Al ser 200 varillas es más económico. Lo recomiendo

A quality Japanese incense stick and altough it's more expensive (this is large box of 200 sticks) than other similar sticks from the East it is significantly better. Our olfactory senses are highly personal when it comes to incense but if like me you prefer a subtle scent rather than an in-your-face aroma then these are recommended. Moreover, the vanilla scent is very pleasant if not relaxing and helps to ctreate a subtle ambience. Don't be surprised if you become a vanilla addict and end up buying an expensive ice cream machine.

Subtle but nice. Shipping took a while but that's okay.
