This microwave fits in the opening in my kitchen. It allows me to pop popcorn and it heats my food thoroughly and effectively. The buttons are very responsive and work well. There is a safety latch in the handle that you have to push up on to open the door and it ensures that you can’t open the door without pushing the button. It is easy to wipe clean both inside and out. It is also so quiet!

I ordered this for my little brother’s apartment, and I honestly couldn’t have picked a better size. His kitchen is tiny, so every inch of counter space matters. A full-size microwave would have overwhelmed the space, but this one fits perfectly without sacrificing the features he actually uses. It arrived quickly and was packaged exceptionally well. Setup took just a couple of minutes, and he was using it almost immediately. This microwave is wonderfully quiet! And heats very well too! Does a really great efficient job at liquids and reheating plates so far. My old huge Sharp Carousel was SO loud with a beep that I’m sure my neighbors heard, and it didn’t heat nearly as well as this smaller Toshiba that costs about 1/3 the price! It is perfect for my needs. Fits a large plate, and is just enough room without being a hulking beast in the kitchen. I personally LOVE the ability to turn off all beeps (and it’s very easy to turn on and off at will). My old hulking beast of a microwave’s beeps echoed throughout the kitchen and its door was so dang loud, which gives sweat-inducing anxiety when you just put your kid down to nap but desperately need one more cup of coffee, or to finish your breakfast finally at 1 pm. Another plus, besides safety, for the child lock handle… It’s an easy off button that is a soft click, if you wanna quickly pause the reheating but keep things inside for a bit. Of course the cancel button works well for this too, lol, just sometimes you want a big button. You are able to open and close the door rather quietly too, if you take it slow. PRO-TIP: If you hear a slight rattle while the plate rotates, it’s likely that your microwave is not fully on even territory. It can be subtle! Mine was rattling slightly, and I worried it was some loose, tiny piece inside the microwave since I bought mine used but in “Excellent” condition.. It had come brand new and perfect looking in a box that had slightly dented packing styrofoam, so I worried it had taken a fall and something was loose. Not the case! I called customer service easily, and they were super helpful. I pressed down on each corner and realized although it looked like it was fully touching the top of the fridge, it wasn’t — hence the rattle! I slid a small towel underneath one corner, and voila, rattle gone! Great purchase!

Purchased this 900W Microwave in black stainless steel as an emergency purchase- my WhirlpoolGold stainless,21years old, built-in microwave went bonkers. Wasn't sure how long research & replacement of larger microwave would take. Needed something quickly, on hand, to heat things up-all I use it for anyway. This microwave is cute- but- RATED 3 stars due to- 1. Operationrather awkward. Was used to being able to put in seconds & had many custom features. This one is minutes w/a 30 second feature. You have to use the "Time Cook" setting for precise seconds &/or minutes. Not a big deal But new to me. Instructions are minimal & abit confusing. 2. I noticed that if you close door normally it seems to not close a 100%?There's some "give" & you can hear a slight rattle when you press on the door handle. There is a slight gap but no light comes thru there when on so just the design? Tried lifting little safety latch on door to not only open but to also close door. That seemed to help align door better but door still makes a slight rattle when you press the handle. Not happy about this part at all:( Wonder about the safety of the door being designed this way or is this a defect in this particular one?? Need to call customer service again... 4. It does make a loud "buzzhum" as other reviews noted when it first starts & then it quiets down a little bit. 5. Can't get clock : to stop blinking since setting time. Customer service Rep said "try unplugging" & reset clock. Have not tried this yet as it is difficult to reach the back of MW. A friend retrofitted this smaller microwave into my existing very large microwave cabinet. An emergency step until I can find a replacement MW. There's plenty of space for ventilation all around, so there's no danger there since new MW is considered a "Countertop" microwave. Once again, I find the microwave a bit awkward to use. But overall, it's serving the purpose of just heating things. Heating seams consistent but trial & error because it's only 900 and was used to an 1100. Have not had to shop for a microwave in over 30 years. The 1 that went bonkers was part of the appliance package in my new build home 2004. Prior to that 1 lasted over 17yrs! The old adage "they don't make 'em like they used to" is a Fact. So can not recommend this Toshiba...Sorry, this one may be a hit-or-miss 🤔
