Great cam
excellent camera. no subscriptions required. quality is excellent. the sound quality is also excellent when talking to it. the app is great and user friendly. I like this system way more than my ring system. the ring system is very slow at pulling up video footage and whatnot. but this camera pull up video footage very quickly. my only gripe is that I wish there was a button that I could press to control the recording to the SD card at any given time. there is a record button but instead of records to the phone memory instead of the memory on the SD card in the camera.otherwise it records motion whenever it detects motion within the settings that you set. it works great.

Eufy E30 Does Not "Yet" Work with HomeKit and Eufy App/HomeBase 380 (Like the S3 Pro)-READ ALL
UPDATED (and upgraded) REVIEW: The camera is great. The features are super. I tried the Eufy brand in lieu of more Eve cameras. Eufy advertises this Indoor E30 model is compatible with Apple HomeKit and, AND HomeKit and the Eufy app/HomeBase 380 can be used simultaneously. Indeed, this exact functionality works this way for the Eufy S3 Pro. It's easy to setup and works exactly as expected and documented--for only the S3 Pro. When it works it is REALLY great. Double functionality!Sadly, the very latest Indoor E30 4K Pan-and-Tilt camera does not fulfill its documentation. I tried the typically recommended deletes, reset and reinstalls. I tried activating HomeKit from the camera settings AND the HomeBase settings. After over a week of Eufy tech support, I received this reply:"Thank you for your patience and for providing logs and screenshots again.Regarding your question, it appears that the issue you are experiencing is related to a feature that has not yet been activated. This specific feature you mentioned is part of an upcoming update. Currently, it is not available, but we are actively working to make it available in the future. We understand your frustration and sincerely appreciate your understanding while we work to resolve this issue."If ever this works, I'll update the review, assuming I keep the camera without the HomeKit automation I wanted.Eufy responded. They kept up a dialog (both AI--and "human", I think) about my concerns, I respect their actions to "hold me harmless" for the purchase, and I am a satisfied Eufy customer. I will keep the working devices and wait for the resolution of the HomeKit issue with the E30.

Good for the price!
For the price, it's pretty good and the playback and live footage is very clear. The two way sound can be hit or miss from time to time but otherwise, it works well.

Easy Setup - Not Too Expensive and pretty clear picture.
Easy Setup - Not Too Expensive and pretty clear picture. I bought two of these cameras for placement in my home and found everything quite easy to setup. I had them both up and running in less than 15 minutes and that included downloading the app. I have tested it remotely and it works quite well. The colors are good and clarity is pretty good as well at this price point. No problems at all so far with the connectivity. Recommend if you are in the market for a product like this and don't want to spend a lot of money.

Easy installation, excellent video quality
Great camera platform. Easy to set up. Easy to operate. Set these up for my elderly parents and they have no problem using the app and controlling the camera. Recommend the home base if you have a lot of cameras. Video quality is great even in a dark garage. Plus it follows you around covering every door.

Budget friendly, highly recommend
Great product for the price. The geo-fencing (it is still in beta) can be a little wonky. Overall extremely happy with the device. The AI recognition and sorting of event types is pretty solid. Do bear in mind you’ll need a micro sd to record events, otherwise you’ll just get a notification. Quality of recording is impressive given the price. Night vision is very solid and clear, it picks up ALOT of sound so don’t worry about quiet things going unnoticed.

98% of the time it fails to connect via RTSP
The Eufy Indoor Cam E30 is absolutely terrible for RTSP streaming. If you're considering using this model for a smart home project with Home Assistant, DO NOT BUY IT! Here's why:It's the worst RTSP connection system I've ever tested. It disconnects after 2 minutes, the stream is slow (assuming it even works at all), and in most cases, it won’t. I tested it with VLC by adding it via network, and 98% of the time, it threw an error. If by some miracle you manage to get it to stream on VLC or Home Assistant, the feed will last about 4 minutes before crashing, forcing you to physically power cycle the camera.Even if you restart the camera from the app, the RTSP stream will rarely connect again.HomeKit and RTSP are mutually exclusive — meaning if you use one, the other gets blocked. It’s ridiculous that the company implemented this limitation, especially when more affordable cameras like the Tapo C225 (a gem) don’t have this issue.Pros:Decent image qualityGood HomeKit integration (although the image often freezes)Conclusion:If you're looking for a camera for a serious smart home project, DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. There are cheaper and much better alternatives like the Tapo C225, which works flawlessly and integrates well with everything. I hope this helps someone avoid the same frustration I went through.
