I have heard people complain about how flimsy book matches are. This is not a result of a poorly made product, but a downside to matchbooks in general as opposed to matchboxes. Matchbooks essentially have matches made of cardboard as a trade off to get a very thin and pocketable product. Lighting them is simply a matter of technique, I have never bent any. The only trouble I have had with these is that some of the heads "melted" and would not light after being carried in my pocket next to my leg while I was working on a warm day. The heads started soaking into the card backing. I'm not sure if this was caused by the heat or from the moisture or a combination of the two. To solve the problem with melting I take the staple out and remove half of the matches to make mine extra thin so I can slip them in my wallet.

I had purchased these before and they were great, but the last order has matches where the strike pad was left off so no way to strike the match. Too late to return by time I used

An alright product at an okay I guess price. To their credit it's the best value price for this classic stlye of matchbooks available on Amazon or most websites. Just wish my local grocery stores still carried 50 pack boxes of matchbooks without having to pay shipping fees.

Arrived in a timely manner and was exactly what I was looking for. We covered them with scrapbook paper in the colors of our daughter's wedding reception. They were in a container beside the sparklers for the couple's sparkler sendoff. Guests enjoyed taking the remaining matchbooks home with them. I recommend this quality product.

I was needing to buy completely blank matchbooks. I needed there to be zero printing on the outside of the matchbook and these are printed ON ALL TREE SIDES. Not only that but the picture claims that they are the american made D.D. Bean and Sons matches. They are NOT american made they are Mexican made and they are NOT D.D. Bean and Sons matches. They are Touch brand matches. They are not red tipped like the picture they are blueish-purple tipped and the inside is plain Kraft cardboard colored not white like the picture. Of course since they are an item used for starting fires apparently I can’t return them so I’m stuck with 50 match books I can’t use because an amazon seller LIED about the product they’re selling. DO NOT BUY THESE MATCHES I am EXTREMELY disappointed with this seller
