We purchased this book a few years back when my son was portraying Stanley Marcus (one of the founders of NM) for a school project in Dallas. He needed it for a prop. It was perfect.Well, Mr. Marcus must have given this book to friends 'Lee and Bernie' the year it came out (1982) because he wrote a little note and signed his name and the date, and left the $25 price tag on the inside back cover! I can only guess that eventually this book was put on Amazon and we were the unwitting, but very lucky buyers! So cool to have this signed book!!

A step back into retail history, especially the catalog. Not only do you get the review the many eccentric items that graced the pages of this N&M catalog, but you can read about the thought that went behind the placement of such advertisements. This will make a nice coffee table book and will be of great interest to anyone who will take the time and begin the journey.

This book was a Christmas gift for a fan of NM, and the recipient was delighted.

As a young girl, I used to pour over the NM catalog. It was fun revisiting the catalog and recalling all the fun I had.
