The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year Paperback – October 24, 2024

I really enjoyed this book, and it was a great cozy mystery. While I could kind of see the plot and twists coming as I read, it didn't take away from my overall enjoyment of the book!

While I liked the idea of the book and also the writing as such, I do not like how Maggie always, (eye roll) talks about the body and the ABS of her "secret flirt " Ethan Wyatt. She talks and behaves just like a teenager but surely not like an intelligent adult woman. Really annoying. (There you know, that Ally Carter usually writes romcoms for YA and teenagers.) I just wish she cut that out. Besides that, the book is a cozy mystery with quite an interesting plot. It really is only Maggie and her annoying behavior with Ethan which spoils the whole story.

Great book, finished it in no time.A subtle mix between a Christmas Whodunnit and a Christmas romcom.
