Will this seat stay inflated during a long car journey?

Yes. Twist the valve cap open and blow until the seat is firm to the touch, then twist the cap shut. TIP - keep cap covered by mouth while twisting closed to prevent air escaping. A correctly inflated BubbleBum holds air for any journey length.

Is this big enough for my 7, 8 or 9-year-old?

BubbleBum inflates to 4" tall with seating area of 12“ by 12’. It fits children 40–110 lbs, ages 4–11. It's a backless booster — it positions the seatbelt correctly. Measure your child’s height to ensure that they’re between 40 and 57 Inches

How do I inflate it — do I need a pump?

No pump needed. Blow into the valve for 20–30 seconds until firm, then twist the cap closed. The cover stretches as it fills — keep inflating if it looks uneven. TIP - keep cap covered by mouth while twisting closed to prevent air escaping.

Is this seat safe — does it meet US car seat standards?

Yes, BubbleBum is FMVSS 213 certified, independently crash tested by BabyGearLabs USA 2025, and Baby Safety Alliance verified. Route the seatbelt through both red guides as shown on the instruction card. Ensure the seat is fully inflated before use

Why does the seat feel soft when inflated?

It needs more air. The cover is snug by design keep blowing until firm and symmetrical. If it still deflates quickly, the valve cap may not be fully sealed --TIP keep cap covered by mouth while Inflating, twisting closed to prevent air escaping.
