Love this stuff! It is greasy when you first put it on...honestly, the same consistency as bacon grease (if you are the kind of person who saves bacon grease in the fridge to use later, like me). But it doesn't stay like that for long; it sinks in to your skin and feels amazing and smells SOOO lovely. It's refreshing and happy. I am using it on my feet b/c I go barefoot in the summer and, inevitably, my feet always crack! So far, this stuff has been wonderful at keeping the cracks at bay! I also use it to massage my husband's feet, which he loves. I do recommend this stuff!

Since I moved to Florida 5 years ago, I've had this terrible rash that gets irritated when I'm out getting sweaty in the heat. It generally remained around the waistband on either side of my waist, but when it would flare up, it would cover my entire torso, inner-thigh, groin, and armpit area and be so itchy I couldn't sleep. I figured it must be a fungal rash since it would flare up after getting sweaty. And no, it's not just a heat rash. My PCP couldn't figure it out. I went to a dermatologist and they couldn't figure it out, so they prescribed fluconazole in case it was fungal. The fluconazole seemed to almost completely clear it up every time they prescribed it after the rash flared up. I saw a different dermatologist and they took a hole-punch biopsy and concluded it was a dermatitis/form of eczema. This doesn't make sense since it would clear up with an antifungal, but according to the dermatologist, no fungus was found in the biopsy. I've also dealt with minor cases of eczema since I was a child and this rash looked nothing like eczema. The groin rash looked like jock itch/ringworm, and the torso/waistband rash looked like small red dots (almost hive-like). Anyway, long story long, just in case anyone else has a similar mystery rash, this balm seems to at the very least keep the rash at bay if not slowly help clear it up. I've used the balm liberally all over the affected area and it seems to keep the rash from itching. I can't tell if it's the ingredients of the balm inhibiting some mystery fungal growth the biopsy didn't find, if the balm is simply acting as a barrier to whatever is causing the dermatitis, or both aspects are true. All I know is this seems to be helping, which I couldn't be more thankful for after 5 years of being itchy and avoiding exercising and my favorite activities outdoors. Oh, and more info for people to compare their rashes to this mystery rash... I've tried various cortisone creams including triamcinolone which is what did the trick on the patches of eczema I'd get as a kid. The cortisone creams just caused the rash to flare up even worse. I tried jock itch/athletes foot powder sprays (miconazole nitrate), and zeabsorb powder, all of which seemed to keep the rash at bay or for a time, but then it would flare up like crazy if I did something active and got sweaty. It didn't help showering right after exercising either. This balm seems to be the only thing aside from the fluconazole pills that seems to help clear the rash up. I hope this lengthy explanation and review helps others, like trying this due to others reviews on similar products helped me. I originally tried another brand that was more expensive for less product and it seemed to mildly help, so I tried this brand because it was getting expensive buying the other. I have to say, this brand seems to stay on the skin better, likely due to the beef tallow, and I believe it's due to this that my rash seems to finally be clearing up for good. Fingers crossed!

This is the best, if you wantnto use a lotion or cream. Smell is not overly. Feels great. I use it on my arms and legs and back as well. Very high quality. I also purchased the eucalyptus and Manuka for my feet and legs. Worth it.

Like all of the products from this company, this stuff is pure gold. Wonderful fragrance, great consistency, non-irritating and helpful. I have very dry skin on my hands combined with life-long eczema and this stuff really, really helps!

Softens well. But you have to do it on a regular basis. It is greasy so, the waiting for it to soak in takes awhile. The smell isn't to bad. Smells like medicine. But not in a bad way. It doesn't do much for my eczema. I really like the tin and hard cardboard packaging. It would be good for dry cracked hands.
