Does this squid ink have a strong fishy taste or smell?

Not at all! Black Hut Squid Ink delivers a rich umami flavor with a subtle natural sea-salty aroma, without any overwhelming fishy odor. It naturally enhances the flavor depth of pasta, risotto, and seafood sauces.

How much should I use per serving?

One 5g sachet is perfect for a single portion (approx. 100g / 3.5 oz of pasta or rice). Add a second sachet if you want a deeper, glossier black.

Are there any artificial dyes or preservatives added?

No. Our squid ink is 100% naturally extracted and free from artificial colors, chemical preservatives, or artificial flavor enhancers.

Is it suitable for people with seafood allergies or vegetarians?

This is real squid ink, so it contains mollusk. It is suitable for pescatarians, but not for vegetarians or vegans. If you have a shellfish allergy, please check the ingredient panel and consult your doctor before use.

How should I store it?

Each of the 20 sachets is individually sealed, so just keep the resealable pouch closed in a cool, dry place. Since every sachet remains sealed until you use it, it retains its freshness right up to the printed expiry date.
