Lightning fast and super stable.
I've been running this CPU for over a year now and never had an issue. It is incredibly stable and I haven't had a Blue screen or system glitch since building it. CPU runs very cool and maxes out at 45c. My use for this system is image processing and it runs 1 program only for astrophotography. No web browser no built in W11 apps. So my boot time is fast and nothing is running in the background to slow me down. My processing software uses 178Gb of memory and 20 cores continuously. If you follow the OC functions instructions in Bios and don't go stupid this will run flat out all the time. Which I have been doing for an average of 10 hours a day 6 days a week image processing. I set the overclock in Bios to S200 and XMP is on. This gives me 5.4GHz on all 24 cores permanently. All 4 ram slots are fitted with Corsair DDR5 5400MHz 48GB ram running at 5400MHz 192Gb total on a ASUS TUF Gaming Z890-PRO WIFI Intel ATX motherboard, 16+1+2+1(80A) power stages. If all 4 memory slots are full you can only run as fast as bank 2 will let you which is 5400MHz so using anything faster in all 4 is a waste of money. It's better to populate bank 1 to either 64Gb or 96Gb to max out your ram speed. Palit GeForce RTX 5070 Infinity 3 OC. 28Tb of Crucial storage. 3x 4Tb SSD 4x 4Tb Nvme Corsair 360mm Aio Corsair 850w PSU

Personal preference paid off
Don't Worry when you watch you tube reviews; half of them take with a pinch of Salt. This Processor works well with intel's Super Boost that pretty much takes care of half the Bios settings, RAM running well CUDIMM @ 8000mts without issues. For Casual Gaming and other tasks fitted with a Crucial T705 its very fast, not had any heat issues or heat related Thermal throttles causing any Stutters, it Works well. High FPS on a 165Hrz 4k Monitor as expected, yes AMD can have an uplift in FPS so it Can be that team RED or Blue divide. Personally Heat, Power and reliability from this Core Ultra 9 is worth a loss of 10/20 fps in games. The Margin of AMD tends to Greater in 1440p. All-rounder PC then this is the Processor to buy it also has NPU, Future AI stuff. Early setups will potentially have issues if not updated to Manufacturer latest BIOS and Micro codes from INTEL. New Builds have these to hand, update the bios from flash drive prior to Windows install. less issues. Intel is releasing a refresh model prior to a new processor and chip set that is going to increase Gaming speeds but this Core 2 Ultra 9 if picked up at the right price should last for years. Half of the review for this are well out of date and Intel has done some wizardry to get it up to speed.

An impressive CPU for gaming and rendering
This CPU has greatly increased my productivity, it's speed and power is perfect for both heavy gaming and 3D rendering. I haven't had any stability issues with this CPU, and although anecdotal, neither has my friend with the same chip. Whilst very expensive, it doesn't feel quite as painful to the wallet purely because of how capable it has been. It does however need some beefy cooling. I use a Noctua Nh-u12a chromax cooler and sit at about 36° at idle, and push 65° to 70° under normal gaming usage; under heavy rendering it can reach 80° but it hasn't seemed to have throttled itself to intensely because of it. Pros: Great stability Fantasftic power Wide range of functionality Cons: Pricey Requires good cooling

VERY FAST
The 285K is an extremely fast CPU, excellent for office applications/photo editing etc Don't take any notice of the many reviews that put it down, these are based on gamers who are only interested in FPS in games Runs cool with only a medium sized CPU cooler

Brilliant
Great product. Awesome performance in games, isnt even going over 13% usage.

Excellent
This chip is very quick without overclocking. I don’t benchmark or anything too strenuous, just play a few games, stream and work from my current build. This CPU is paired with an ASUS Hero Z890, Samsung 9100 PRO, 64GB 6400 CL32-39-39 RAM, and a 5080 Astral and boy does it fly!

Awesome chip for productivity.
Productivity first, gaming second. Ignore people who keep comparing this to gaming chips, it's a productivity chip which is very good at gaming too. Nothing compares to it for productivity though.

Very fast and noticeably more efficient
Very fast CPU - noticeable improvements in temps and power usage over previous generations.

Great performance.
This processor doesn't get a lot of love from the influencers at large. This processor is a beast at general tasks, despite it not having hyperthreads (it doesn't need them). I've always used Intel processors as they have always performed well for the tasks I do. This is likely the best part of my new build, and all things considered, probably had the most value per dollar. Yes, I'm aware the socket 1851 architecture is short-lived, and I had an obsolete CPU before I assembled my system. Thing is, I hang onto my PCs for a very long time, and I don't purchase a new PC every year. I wanted performance now, and this CPU delivered. Sure, I could have waited for the new stuff to launch, but you could always be waiting endlessly. I'm very happy with this purchase. While this processor is capable of being overclocked, I have not overclocked my system.

Extremely Strong Productivity Processor
I am a programmer who works with compiled programming languages in a large codebase all day long, and I bought this processor after seeing it at or near the top of many compiler benchmarks. Indeed, this processor cuts through my work like a knife through hot butter, and it is a joy to watch it speed through tasks! And unlike previous generations of Intel processors, it is quite easy to keep it cool even with cheap air coolers. Despite minor overclocking, the processor stays 10-20 °C away from thermal throttling even under hours of the most intense stress tests (like Cinebench). Furthermore, the processor has been quite stable for me, as I have not encountered any crashes. Keep in mind that many of the mixed/negative reviews are focused on gaming, where the gaming performance for the price is quite disappointing. If Intel manages to iron out all of the major issues (a very big if), this processor will exhibit gaming performance similar to an i9-14900K while being significantly-more power efficient. Accordingly, this could be a strong mixed gaming/productivity processor in the future, but in the meantime, I would not buy this processor if having top-tier gaming performance is important to you. For productivity-focused users like me, however, I would highly recommend this processor for many productivity tasks, where it is often the fastest consumer-grade processor ever made.
