Waterproof and fits car.

Bought this for Astra J, fit is OK but shape is wrong for it which means it isn't a snug fit. It is better than nothing but catches the wind a bit. It seems well made, there are 4 plastic hooks which fit on the wheels but more attachment points would be better.

Not waterproof. Why?

I bought this cover, delivered on 12 June 2024. So it is under 3 months old. Today is 3 September. It has been on my old BMW E46 cabriolet. It arrived neatly packaged in a bag. A good fit but immediately began to fade from a dark blue to what you see now. It has kept my hood free from dust and the windows also pretty clean. I’ve had to strap it down to prevent the wind getting under the cover. It’s not very waterproof but that did not trouble me. However I think the fabric which is thin is rotting in the sun as there is now a small tear in the front that I’ve taped up. So all in all for £20 and only 2+ months use I am not able to recommend. Problem is there is no route to have it replaced as it’s outside the Amazon return window. Think carefully before you shell out to buy this cover.The cover shredded in the wind not long after my intial report. I think is rotted in about three months. BEWARE!

I have a Peugeot 308 and purchased the XL size. It fits but the hooks are not good, we had to wrap the straps around the alloys and hook it together otherwise the hooks slip of the wheels. It's not very waterproof and it's such a light tent-like material that will just fly off in windy conditions, which makes it completely useless for the intended use (protection from rain). I would not buy this cover again and I'd wish I could send it back.

This semi cover is listed as suitable for VW golfs. It is not.The cover is too small to cover both the front and rear screen at the same time and the elastic attachments are too long to hold effectively by clipping to the wheel arch. In any case they are terminated in hooks that don't attach to the wheel arch because the wheel arch on a Golf is taken up by a liner that covers the lip. The elastic is too short to pass around the spokes of the wheels and clip to itself, so all in all hopeless and I returned it.The material is lightweight and seems to be at least water repellant when bought. I doubt it would last more than one season though as it is so flimsy. I guess the best I can say about it is that it probably won't scratch the paint (much) because the material is so thin and light, Very poor value for money

Bought to keep the neighbour's cat's hair off the roof of our BMW 220i convertible (after much previous trouble removing the hairs from the MX5) when left out under the car port. Fits a treat and does the job, easy to loop the hooks through the wheel spokes and back on the elastic. Easier with 2, especially when removing and putting away, but not difficult for one.
