Montgomery Original Men's London Luxury Duffle Coat

This is a wonderfully made and beautifully kid length coat. It is made from high quality Italian wool and crafted in England. Outstanding quality, traditional design, warm, comfortable and great value for the money. This is similar to a Brooks Brothers toggle car coat that I’ve owned for many years. This is equally as warm, lighter weight jacket, equal to or greater quality than my Brooks Brothers and I always receive compliments when I wear it. Runs true to size. I’m 6’2”, 130, size 42 in a sport coat and medium fits me flawlessly even with my 37” length arms. Must have for every man’s wardrobe. Beautiful coat and my favorite 2/3 season wool coat. Extremely highly recommend.

This is a very well-made duffel coat. I'm 5-10/175 and the (L) fits perfectly. It's a not-too-roomy fit with a single layer and there's room for layering a shirt + sweater. The sleeve length is perfect. The hood does look odd when it's up but that's the way duffel coat hoods look. They're way more stylish with the hood down. All the stitching and seams look great.This coat has some nice styling details that I haven't found on some other similar coats. The shoulders have a second layer of material which is nice for insulation and water permeation and probably had a functional use when these coats were used by seaman who had to carry things on their shoulders. It also has a lapel collar which is really nice for busting the chill and not found on all duffel coats. The sleeves have a 2-button strap cuff which looks great and also helps weather-proof the fit of the coat when tightened up to the second buttonFYI - the description states there is a zipper in the front but there is not. The only thing I don't love love love about the coat is that the sleeves are also lined with the same plaid wool liner as the body of the coat and this makes getting into the coat a little tougher than it would with poly or acetate sleeve linings. Having said that, it doesn't affect how the coat feels while wearing it. The fabric is 70/30 wool and synthetic and some snob reviewers have called that a deal breaker but it's also not a $700-800 (or more) coat so I'm okay with that.This coat would be a good value at twice the price. It's an outstanding value at this price. With reasonable care I can see this coat lasting for years. Fully recommend the product and the seller.

Color was a little darker than I had expected. I hate that the hood is too small and short to cover my head comfortably without straining my neck. It's practically a cosmetic feature. Overall quality is price appropriate. I live in WI and it gets below 0 a few times out of the year, has kept me warm and dry during these colder months.

I’m a geek about my clothes. I’m built odd. I’m a tall xl - 50 at the chest , 36 at the waste and I’m long in the body. So when I find things that fit- I’m crazy about it.When I find something that fits and it’s built like I think things were 80 years ago- sturdy. Solid. Warm. Rugged but stylish.This coat checks every box.The xxl- fits perfect at the shoulders and not too big at the waste. Long but easy to get in and out of the car with. I didn’t know the English were known for their clothing but I am now a believer.But that hood. I’m at a loss for what to say - like am I going on the Spanish Inquisition? 1600’s France called and wants its hood back? It’s a little out there. But I use it to keep my head warm- not because of the look. Oh and you can take the hood off!Amazing. I now must buy one in every color.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this duffle coat. Girls (and guys) constantly compliment me on it. While the coat is expensive, it is definitely worth every penny. I'm actually very surprised that Amazon sells it for $125 less that the Original Montgomery website does. The coat is very loose on me, but that is because I decided to buy a size up (42) in order to have room to layer or just so I could move around easier in it. It is very heavy and warm, and the buffalo horn toggles are very nice. My favorite part is probably the sweet collar it has. The overall quality of the design and the materials, like 80% wool, is extremely nice. I tried, but I could not find any comparable duffle coats for similar prices. The Montgomery Duffle coat has exceptional warmth. It is a perfect fit for cold, and windy weather, as well as rain, and fog. I found that unbuttoning the first button on each side of the collar and hood was the correct adjustment for easy hood use.

Quality material and warm. I have wide shoulders and find the coat a little snug especially when layered.

Highly recommended 100 wool coat can be worn casual or dressed. Fit true to size!
