This one really does drain faster than a lot of the other kinds. This one obviously isn't going to catch as much hair as some of the others, but the last one that we were using had like a one inch deep cage under it for catching hair, and it always drained so slow that we would just take it out while showering. It was still necessary though, because any tub drain that is open is an invitation for giant cockroaches to come in! If you are someone who also has that problem, then you've got to get something to cover that drain hole, AND, you have to cover the overflow with something too (if you have one). Because one time I had just finished showering and I was standing in the tub drying off. And when I turned around there was a giant cockroach right there in front of me! The only explanation must have been that it was up in that overflow area the whole time that I was showering! Crazy, huh? But anyway, I would highly recommend this drain stopper. I can easily tell that it is much better made than the last two that we tried. Ours even came with THREE of each of the two different o-rings. And these things really couldn't be easier to install. You just measure the hole, put on the correct o-ring, and then slam it in the hole. My only complaint is that no one seems to make these with an oil rubbed bronze finish, or a champagne bronze finish.

A very easy setup. I took the drain stopper out of the box and place it in my tub drain opening. I did not require changing out the original ring already installed on the drain stopper.
