It took a bit of figuring out to get this put together but once that’s done, the mill works like a dream. The fact that there are different sizes of grind make this a joy to use if you have a selection of peppercorns to work with. It looks very elegant but you have to be careful how you pick it up as it is easy to activate it inadvertently. I am very pleased with my purchase

In daily use my Elis has not missed a beat thus far and I found it invaluable when it came to incorporating freshly ground pepper with one hand while simultaneously stirring the dish with the other. Impossible with manual grinders, obviously. It will grind pepper corns from fine to coarse effortlessly though not to the fineness of powder. Its neat little black tray looks smart on the table and keeps bits of pepper from messing up surfaces. Trivia: weighty due to steel construction and the 5 AAA batteries needed for power. It comes with alkalines but I use rechargeables which seem to do the job perfectly adequately. The stainless steel body is easily wiped clean and still looks as good as new even after a year's use. I bought one a year ago and this is my second to give away as a gift to a friend who loved the one I had. Considering the cost of this item there is no greater recommendation I suppose.

Best I have ever brought

As I have struggled with arthritis in my hands and having read such positive reviews I decided to try this mill. It is very expensive and I did initially discount it as an option. However, whilst a bit fiddly to put together I am delighted. The mill is quite heavy and comes with its own tray.

Have had many pepper grinders over time, some manual & some electric (batteries), But this Peugeot pepper mill is the best I have ever seen or had, yes its a lot of money, But believe me when I say it, it is worth every penny, you won't regret it, Oh by the way, The matching salt mill is just as good, Enjoy

Obviously a dear product but you get what you pay for. Had an older model that fell out of the cupboard so many times that eventually the base broke. Yri d cheap versions and very dear hand traditional mills in stainless steel. Of all of them this is the best. Only slight problem experienced was corrosion of the battery terminals with a green vertigray. This inhibits the battery voltage and the motor can struggle. Overall would not be without one.

I was extremely happy with the Elis mill until there was a warranty issue; 7 months later I am still waiting, never experienced a run around like this!

I saw this in a shop in the Netherlands and wanted one immediately. I waited until I got home in case it was cheaper (it wasn't). However, its such a pleasure to use - I adore it.

Eine ganz hervorragende Pfeffermühle und ein sehr empfehlenswerter Kauf. Ich hatte nur mehrere günstigere Modelle mit Keramik Mahlwerk und die bringen es einfach nicht. Ein präzises Stahl Mahlwerk von Renault ist ein völlig anderes Level. Die Aufregung einiger Rezensionen über die Batteriehalterung kann ich nicht nachempfinden. Ich habe nicht mal in die Anleitung geschaut. Sehr einfache Mechanik und auch nur ein Komfortfeature. Selbst wenn die kleinen Plastikschieber mal brechen sollten wird das Batteriefach durch den Gegendruck des Mahlwerkes gehalten. Auch der breite Metallsteg unterhalb des Mahlwerkes, auf dem sich bei senkrechtem Betrieb Mahlgut sammelt, ist nur ein Merkmal robuster Bauweise und kein Konstruktionsmangel. Irgendwo muss eine stabile Wellenführung ja hin. Wer lesen kann ist auch klar im Vorteil: Diese Mühle ist speziell für Pfeffer konstruiert und erledigt diese Aufgabe ohne Makel. Es wird ausdrücklich darauf hingewiesen das z.B. Salz ein anderes Mahlwerk erfordert. Die Mahlgrad Einstellung sucht ihresgleichen. Sehr einfach und exakt. So kann jeder am Tisch mit einer Handbewegung seine Vorzugseinstellung wählen. Die Touch Funktion führt zu ungewollten Auslösungen beim Handling, das ist richtig. Touchfelder sind aber äußerst langlebig, im Gegensatz zu mechanischen Schaltern, gerade in Feucht- und Schmutzbereichen. Ich nehme das daher gerne in Kauf ein paar Pfefferkrümel auf der sehr stylischen Unterschale zu lassen. Ich bin äußerts zufrieden und freue mich jedes mal wenn ich diese Mühle benutze. Den Preis halte ich für mehr als angemessen. Qualität hat nun mal ihren Preis.

Previously had another Peugeot pepper grinder which finally quit on me after almost 10 years of heavy usage. I believe you definitely get what you pay for. New one is probably in the higher end in regards to $ but you are buying quality. When I purchased my first one I was a little skeptical because of the price but soon found out why they are more expensive and never regretted my purchase and the Elis Sense uSelect model I just bought is no different. They also have made some improvements in comparison to my old Peugeot grinder. The motor is quieter and more powerful. They also added 2 LED lights instead of 1. Love my new grinder and expect to get many years of usage also.

Super produit, très facile à utiliser et marche comme il se doit. La prise en main peut surprendre car ce n'est pas un bouton mais un pad tactile qui active le moulin à poivre.
