Kruuse Buster Inflatable Dog Collar (Large) (Blue)

This inflatable collar was great - I got it due to our Westie having had an big operation on his ear. I didn't want to use the large clear plastic cone the vets uses as my dog is very active and would more likely hurt himself with that rigid product on. I went for the Large size as Westies have thick necks - this size was perfect especially as you can thread your dogs collar through the inside loops on the product and tighten to secure it properly. My dog wore it 24/7 for three weeks and was able to eat, drink, sleep and importantly play while wearing it! He was unable to scratch and rub the ear meaning it healed quickly - my vets is now looking into this product as an alternative to the hard plastic cones because of the positive results we have had.

The collar itself is a great idea but our springador has a long body and could easily reach his stitches which defeated the object.

Bought this for my bitch after been spayed i didnt want the plastic huge lamp shade on, I have to say it wasnt a good idea for breeds with a longish mouth like my German shepherd has she could still lick the stitches so had to ut the horrid plastic collar on in the end. Altho it is well made and the large iordered was a suitable fit for a german shepherd i feel these are going to be more benefial for breeds with a shorter nose like a staffy perhaps. The dispatch and quality was very good tho.

This looked like it was going to do the trick, but within 5 minutes our 18kg golden retriever was bending around it to lick her spay wound. Yet the size up would have been way too big around the neck. We ended up using this but with a cut-back e-collar as well so that at least she could have a drink easily. They worked very well together but I did worry about her in this one because for the whole ten days after her spay operation, the weather was around 24 degrees, and this one probably made her hotter still.

I purchased the collar after my dog was spayed to stop her licking the wound site however my dog was able to get to the wound,so I ended up putting the collar on that the vet supplied which was very big and bulky.

Bought this for our Sharpe/Staffy dog who had surgery on his eyes, with his collar from the vet he kept bumping into us and we were getting all cut up from the sharp edges. Also it was cutting into his neck which didn't seem very fair since he was already suffering. This inflatable collar was great, it's really easy to put up and to fit, only caution is to make sure that they are not flexible enough to reach their wounds. Luckily he wasn't :)

Very disappointed due to the item being too small to use and when inflated not very wide considering I ordered Large... My dog is a Belgian Shepherd and this item wasn't able to replace the large cone the vets issue but may be of more use on smaller dogs. Will be returning. On a positive the item is extremely well made with collar loops and Velcro strap to keep in place for smaller animals.

It's a great product, so much better than my dog always wearing the cone she can see way more now and sniff everywhere while on a walk. All in all its a plus!
