Must have for filtration!
I originally purchased the AP2 Smoke Purifier for my xTool F2 Ultra UV laser. I did not want the hassle of having to run an exhaust hose to an open window or opening through a wall to the outside air. The AP2 comes with a variety of connectors for different lasers. The corrugated hose makes it very convenient to place the unit under or near your laser. xTool Studio makes it is to setup the AP2 to automatically mesh with the laser. When you turn on the laser, the AP2 is automatically connected to the laser and when you start the engraving or cutting process, the AP2 ramps up to provide suction and filtration. On some F1, F1 Lite, M1, P2, and D series, only a manual mode is possible. The sound level is reported to be 55dba and that is about right. It is noticeable but not loud. XTool studio shows you ther performance level of the AP2 and the filter status, so you know when it's time to replace the filters. The AP2 has a cyclone layer that is washable and collects almost all the particles and there are six layers of filters that are replaceable. xTool Studio monitors each filter so you only have to replace each filter, rather than having to buy a whole set at once. Xtool states they have a life of between 100 to 600 hours. One of the worst things to engrave is acrylic but with the AP2, I do not notice any odors, even with the protective shade on the laser partially closed. The AP2 will support all the xTool desktop lasers, including the P2 (manual mode) and P2S but it will not be capable of filtration with the much larger P3. The AP2 will work with other brands of lasers, 3D printers, and DTF, as long as the extraction requirement is 150 cubic meters/hour or less and supports a 3--inch tube. There are numerous fittings on Amazon that allow you to connect multiple devices to one AP2. One of the advantages of purchasing the AP2 on Amazon vs the xTool site is a price savings!

A burly, serious tool
This air purifier is a burly, serious tool. It has a bluetooth adapter for connecting it to the Xtool laser. The extras in the box are thoughtful. The filters are sold individually or as a set, and you get a live reading of their status. I'm using my laser in a tiny studio apartment, and this hefty tool will save me from smelling like smoke. No more panicked racing to turn off the fire alarm! The noise level is excellent - fairly quiet. A good value for the money - no mistake, this is a pricey tool, but wow. You get what you pay for. I've had cheapo smoke filters that were literal garbage at filtering. The estimated lifespan of the filters is really good. The automatic feature is excellent- again, so much better than what I am used to doing. There are small casters under the device, so that it can be rolled around.I wish that I had a better place to store it, though. That's on me.

Exactly What I Needed to Run a Laser Engraver at Home
I was specifically looking for a smoke purifier that I could comfortably use in my house, and the xTool SafetyPro AP2 ended up being exactly what I needed. The multi filter, six layer filtration system is the real standout. It does an excellent job capturing fine dust, smoke, and odors from laser engraving. Even when running longer jobs, the air stays clean and there is no lingering smell in the room. That was a hard requirement for me, and this unit delivered. The SuperCyclone system clearly works. Airflow is strong without being obnoxious, and filtration does not feel like an afterthought. It handles both diode and fiber laser work without struggling, which says a lot about its capacity.Noise level is another win. It runs quietly enough to use in a home environment without being distracting or annoying. That matters when your workshop shares space with the rest of the house.Build quality is solid and well designed. Setup was straightforward and maintenance is simple. It feels like a professional solution that just happens to be well suited for home use.Bottom line. If you run a laser engraver in your house and want clean air without loud fans or lingering odors, the xTool SafetyPro AP2 is worth it. The multi layer filtration system is exactly what I was looking for.As you can see in the video:+ Noise Level is minimal.+ Space is reasonable+ Airflow is excellentAll this adds up to is great dust removal, and the usage of the lasers with minimal smell or pollution.

Super Nice
Easy to set up and super(!!!!) nice.I’ve cut wood and acrylic and engraved wood, metal, stone, and acrylic with this. Zero smells in the interior room.Sound is also notably less than expected. The air pump to my xTool S1 is much louder than this purifier.Expensive, but well worth it.

It just works very well. Worth the expense!
This air purifier allows the xTool S1 to be used inside the home without any smoke or odors from laser cutting and engraving. (There is a smoke detector directly above where I use the machine.) Filter replacements are very reasonably priced and quickly available directly from xTool.

Almost a must have when you get a big laser - filters are ONLY through xTool direct though
This is a great filter. While it's a bit on the noisy side, and does come with some minor issues that you have to work through, and it's a bit expensive, it does work really well. By itself, it does eliminate just about all the fumes coming out of the back of your machine. Sadly, not "ALL" the fumes come out the back.... some odors will still seep out here and there on the machine... maybe 1%, maybe more - but not enough to bother most people. I'm in a small shop, so it's great for me. However... and this is important to keep in mind.... as of right now, you can't buy the filters on Amazon. You can ONLY get them through xTool..... which does offer (currently) free shipping on orders over $99 I think. And... the problem is that they are hit and miss with shipping your order timely - they claim it ships in 1 day - mine took a week. But, if you stock up, you'll be fine. There will be some issues at first, but you will get used to them, and it's a great filter. I've had mine for about 15 months now, and it's still going strong.

“xTool SafetyPro AP2: Powerful Smoke & Odor Filtration for Laser Engraving”
The xTool SafetyPro AP2 Smoke Purifier has made a huge difference in my laser engraving workspace. The build quality feels solid and purpose-built, not like a generic air purifier repurposed for lasers. The 6-layer SuperCyclone filtration system does an excellent job capturing dust, fine particles, fumes, and strong odors from engraving and cutting. Even during heavier jobs, the air stays noticeably cleaner with far less lingering smoke or smell.I really like how it automatically syncs with the laser, turning on and off as needed, which makes it feel like a seamless part of the setup. It’s also surprisingly quiet for how powerful it is, making it comfortable to use indoors or in shared spaces.Filter life will depend on usage, but the performance easily justifies it. If you use a laser engraver indoors and care about air quality, this purifier is absolutely worth it.Highly recommended.

Great purifier
Upgraded from the previous Smoke Purifier that xtool had which you could still smell smoke. This unit does a far better job at purifying and the smell is far less. The automatic feature while using with a xtool S1 is fantastic

Warning: Not worth it if used outside the XTool ecosystem…
I’ve used XTool lasers since the time they used to sell them under the “Makeblock” brand. Long before the spinoff… I loved the brand so much that when I bought a Bambu lab H2D full laser combo, I decided to buy the AP2 for a few reasons: software/firmware updates, wireless connectivity , multiple filters, easy to replace, it just works… However, after buying it I find out that IF you don’t own a modern XTool laser, you will not be able to: use the software, update the firmware, keep track of the filter life, Bluetooth connection doesn’t work with anything other than the few lasers, the iOS/Android/PC connection doesn’t exist except if you have their lasers…So, that means that any other laser out there is only compatible with the XTool AP2 on “manual mode”. I mean that’s fine BUT(to clarify, XTool does claim that their AP2 works with the H2D but doesn’t really tell you to what degree …) Dear Makeblock, at least make the ‘filter life’, ‘firmware updates’ and ‘Bluetooth’ work with iOS/Android without the need of an XTool laser. I feel you guys have made the $1300+ product shrink down to a $600 product level and I just tossed $700 down the drain for no reason … it is truly sad to block off features that make your product stellar…UPDATE: I decided to return it since there is no real advantage between this filter and other alternatives (most advantages are not available). However, the box stickers states that it is 15kg+, ACS says it is 20Kg, and Canada Post says it is 26Kg+… in short CP refused to take it. Now , I have to arrange for a third party courier to return this “overweight” box. The assigned courier is CEVA Logistics, according to them it might take 14 days for them to pickup the package.UPDATE 2: XTool reached out to me after posting this. According to them , the AP2 firmware can be updated without an XTool laser via Bluetooth ( contrary to what their original CS told me first via their website ) .
