My Cousin Skinny
A**D
Delicious dysfunction!
There's something about the dysfunctional family unit that I find compelling in storytelling. My Cousin Skinny raises the bar on delicious dysfunction. Following a murder at her cousin Stephanie's wedding, Sandy is expected to defend her cousin. But, everyone seems to want her to fail. They thwart her at every turn, including the suspect herself. And while Sandy seems to be treated with the least respect in the family, she is tasked with the burden of all the responsibility (or blame) for the outcome. There is so much tension, and so many twists and turns. Yet, My Cousin Skinny still maintains the smart humor that defines Copperman's work.
