*Updated Positive Review*
I purchased this in late March. Ive had nothing but trouble from this pool vacuum. I'm so fed up with it, I want to throw it against a wall and shatter it into 1000 pieces! Its constantly losing charge and not working for the entire time it claims it will. At most, I get 45 mins out of it. It doesn't pick up sand nor dead algae, just pushes it all around the pool. It barely picks up small leaves half the time. You can't reuse it in a very timely manner after using it because you have to wait for it to completely dry out b4 hooking it back up to its charger and waiting for it to recharge. Its difficult to open, clean out, then reassemble for the next use. I have a 24 foot round above ground pool and this thing is honestly absolutely useless! I rarely if ever leave a bad review, but this product deserves it. Do yourself a favor and purchase a pool vac at a higher price point that will do what it says it will. *EDIT; after posting my review, the seller (Aiper) reached out to me to make things right. They sent me a replacement vacuum the Scuba E1 for free. I'm delayed in updating my review because we wanted to use it for awhile and see how well it does. We have a 24 ft round above ground pool and this Scuba E1 is phenomenal! Pics in my review are for this machine (b4 it cleaned, during, and after). It is much stronger than the vacuum originally purchased, has a nice basket with a tight mesh so things don't escape. It absolutely runs its full 90 min time unlike the version we first purchased. It picks up the sand that is constantly in the bottom of the pool (we live in Florida) and any and all leaves from our many nearby trees, too. It works fast and complete. We are 100% more than satisfied with the Scuba E1. More than anything, we are blown away by the more than excellent communication from Aiper's customer service as well as their dedication to making sure we have a product we can be happy with. Thank you so much, Aiper! When we need to purchase again in the future, we will absolutely buy another Aiper.

AIPER is awesome! Great suction power
Love better then my Wybot that only lasted 2 years. Easy to use, clean and store, it's small lightweight and we are happy. We use it on our 18 foot round above ground pool and it has so far worked flawlessly. I would definitely recommend AIPER as a great product. It has great suction and makes cleaning easy as power on and let it go to work.

Donโt be scammed!!
4/2 update- I am updating this as customer service reached out after I left this review to offer me a different model. I accepted and have used it twice, so far, it's working much better. I am grateful they reached out and rectified this issue; however, it took weeks of fighting. Hopefully this model holds up. This vacuum is awful and the customer service has been even worse. I got this vacuum at the beginning of May and we opened our pool Memorial Day weekend. We realized almost immediately the vacuum only moved about an inch back and forth. I reached out for some trouble shooting and they gave me the option to send back for a repair (2 weeks) or a new unit (within 48 hours of receiving the defective one. I choose to get a new unit so Iโd have it quicker since we were dealing with the first clean of the season and needed it. Got it this week, which is way longer than they said it would be shipped back, still same issue. It doesnโt move. I reached out again, and they said I could send it back to be repaired. I declined and said Iโve already done this back and forth. Now Iโm being told itโs because I have a โcomplex poolโ and Iโm not eligible for any help except a $15 credit towards something else. I have the EXACT above ground pool that is used in the marketing pictures for the model. Iโm so frustrated, have wasted weeks of trying to deal with them and now am out the money and a vacuum.

(Updated Review) Underpowered?
Updated review (original review below). The customer service is 5 stars! They responded right away about the faulty hook issue, offering to send a replacement part. After running the vacuum a few times I noticed it just wasn't quite getting the job done. Thier customer service reached out to me and I upgraded to the Scuba E1 model. I was concerned at first because I noticed it left some dirt behind on the initial pass. The Scuba E1 did a great job after additional passes. Its not 100%, but the pool liner isnt perfectly smooth, and it did as good a job as if I manually went over it myself without really digging in with the brush edges. I am very pleased with the performance of the Scuba E1 and it ran for nearly the entire 130 mins as advertised. It was easy to clean and much better at retaining the debris when removing the unit from the pool. I would suggest just spending the little extra to get the Scuba E1 or S1 unless you have a smaller pool with a smooth bottom, then the Seagull SE can probably get the job done for you. Not sure if my unit is defective. I watched it go directly over a small leaf and not pick it up, then over a piece of long grass, same story. I didnt watch the entire process, so I cant say whether or not it covered the whole area, but there was still a large amount and dirt after it was done and hardly anything in the trap. The hook that came with it was missing the retaining pins so its not functional at all. Will run it again and see if it does any better the second time around.

Reliable and lightweight
The Seagull SE out shines the higher end models. I know because I spent more than $400 more on a highly rated pool cleaner. Iโm not saying that the high end model didnโt perform as advertised but what is was able to do wasnโt any better than the Aiper. My Aiper was reliable and did a great job cleaning the bottom of my pool. It excelled at picking up fine silt. I decided to return the high end model once I realized it wasnโt performing any better but most of all the weight of the device was at least three times heavier then the Seagull SE. I will definitely continue to support Aiper !

Read the review first
Update 7/18/2026: the company reached out to me and offered to send a scuba E1. I will update once I get this and start using it. From my research, the one they are sending me dies after one season. Wish me luck! Been working okay for my pool. It does miss debris in the pool here and there tho. I have only had it for a year and used for one and half summers now but itโs taking longer to charge, put it in the pool at full charge but then once it is in the water it shows half dead. Every time I take it out of the water I pray nothing comes seeping out of the sides with the water that comes out of it. I would have not spent the money I did on this if I knew the negatives I have experienced.

Not worth it
I really loved this the first week or so. It cleaned perfectly and was easy to use. After that it did not clean that well. I would have to charge it and run it again to get the pool clean. I really thought it would be great. After reading my review, Aiper reached out to me and replaced the unit with an upgrade. I am very pleased now.

Saves time and provides an adequate clean
This pool cleaner is a great tool to have. It saves time while slowly keeping the bottom of your pool clean. Itโs completely cordless which is very convenient. It moves around on its own and parks itself neatly by a pool wall when the battery runs low. It even comes with a hook attachment for your pool pole to make retrieval easier. Cleaning-wise, it does a pretty good job on flat surfaces. It sucks up dirt, small debris, and leaves without issues. Keep in mind that this is designed to work on flat bottom pools only so if your pool isnโt perfectly flat, the robot will struggle to climb up any slopes. The cleaning path is a bit random so I've noticed that it will miss spots occasionally but overall, it keeps the pool floor tidy. The filter basket also fills up fast if thereโs a lot of debris. You'll need to pull it out and empty it mid-cleaning if that's the case. Thankfully the filter is quite easy to remove and rinse. Runtime is pretty good and right around the advertised 90 minutes and it operates quietly. Build-wise, it feels well-designed. Itโs lightweight, easy to carry, and even looks pretty cool. It also comes with spare parts and the instructions are clear. Overall, If you have a flat bottom pool, I would recommend this robot vacuum.

Great pool vac
My partner and I have a division of labour when it comes to our pool. She 100% enjoys it, I 100% maintain it! LOL Now, don't get me wrong, I don't begrudge her enjoyment one bit; I have things I enjoy that she doesn't, and I'm happy to maintain the pool because I know she enjoys it. There is one task that I don't enjoy, though, and that is vacuuming the pool! I'm a ginger and I'm just not cut out to stand out in the blazing sun for that long, so I look VERY forward to dropping this little fella in there next season! Unfortunately, the pool is closed up for the year, so I gave this a try in my bathtub (it was pretty fun, not gonna lie!) and I feel like I got a good idea of how this operates. The concept is simple, inlet ports on the bottom have little brushes that sweep along the bottom to stir up debris that is then pulled into the unit where it can't get past the filter screen. The clean water then exhausts through the top ports, which provide propulsion for the machine. Its not easy to see in the video, but I threw a handful of navy beans in the bottom of the tub and the vacuum sucked them up almost immediately and got the last couple on a second pass. It is much like the older style Roomba vacuums in that it doesn't do any mapping, it moves itself around at random and, after a period, it will have vacuumed the entire pool. It accomplishes this randomness by directing the clean water through one of the two exhaust ports for an amount of time, stopping, then exhausting water through the opposite port for an amount of time before switching again. The time interval keeps changing, which helps provide that random movement and coverage for the device. This random pattern cleaning worked for my old roomba, so I'm sure it will work for this vac too! (Much like my old roomba, I imagine that it will take a couple of cycles to actually cover every square inch of the pool, so running it more frequently than I would manually vacuum will be key to a clean pool.) Cleaning the filter is a snap, it lifts out and the unit and the filter can then just be rinsed clean. It also comes with a hook attachment for my cleaning pole which will make getting it in and out of the pool a snap. I'll update my review once I get the pool opened again in the spring and I've had a chance to put this in action, should I encounter anything that warrants it. Customer image

Works, slowly.
So with spring finally beginning, our pool has thawed and there is no more ice, leaving a dirty floor to be seen within our pool. Figured this would be a great test for this little new cleaner, since my old one died at the end of the last summer. Quite the looker, this little vacuum comes with spare wheels and inserts as well as a set of brushes that you need to slot underneath it. The charger is included and of course, different from my older one. Entry holes to pick up trash, are quite smaller than my older model and I am worried some maple leaves for example, which can get quite big, may end up clogging it. Time will tell. So charged it up to 100% and dumped it in the pool to see what it could do. So everyone knows, my pool is an above ground 21 feet pool (round) with a slight incline as most pools have from the middle of it towards the edges. The description does not mention it, but the included instructions do mention, that this is not made for a pool with slopes, for example a inground pool with a deep end. You unit will get stuck at the bottom. I noticed that issue, with the little incline of my pool where going down towards the deeper end, unit will be fast. But going back up, it can hardly make it so ever slowly. Thus draining the battery quicker and not getting a full run i fear. The brushes, helped a little. But being again an above ground pool, with vinyl padded flooring, it is not perfectly even and thus not scraping evenly. I pulled it out twice within the run, to empty it out and was happy to find it had picked up quite a bit. So yes, a bit slow for my liking. But I can dump it in, do something else while it does its thing, and repeat the process when it is recharged.

Really good!
Pros: 1. Cordless Design: The cordless functionality eliminates tangling and makes the cleaner safer and more convenient to use, especially in above-ground and flat pools. 2. Self-Parking Technology: This innovative feature ensures the cleaner automatically stops near the pool wall when the battery is low, making retrieval easier. 3. Portable and Lightweight: The compact design allows for easy transport and storage, making it ideal for quick cleaning sessions. 4. Efficient Cleaning: The vacuum effectively removes dirt, leaves, and debris, keeping your pool spotless without much effort. 5. Long Runtime: With a runtime of up to 90 minutes, it can handle pools up to 40 feet in length on a single charge. 6. Easy Maintenance: The filter basket is simple to remove and clean, ensuring the device stays in good condition with minimal upkeep. 7. Quiet Operation: Unlike many pool vacuums, this one operates quietly, so you can enjoy a peaceful environment while it works. Cons: 1. Limited to Flat Pools: The cleaner is designed for flat-bottomed pools and may struggle with uneven surfaces, slopes, or walls. 2. Not for Large Pools: While effective for medium-sized pools, its runtime and coverage may not be sufficient for larger pools or those with heavy debris. 3. Charging Time: The device requires several hours to recharge fully, which may delay consecutive cleaning sessions. 4. No Remote Control: It lacks app or remote functionality, so you cannot manually direct the cleaner to specific areas. 5. Debris Capacity: The filter basket, while easy to clean, might need frequent emptying for pools with heavy debris loads. Verdict: The AIPER Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner is an excellent choice for maintaining above-ground and flat-bottom pools up to 40 feet. Its cordless design, self-parking feature, and efficient cleaning make it a hassle-free option for everyday use. While it may not suit larger or more complex pools, its convenience, portability, and quiet operation make it a valuable addition to pool maintenance routines.

Good battery and power, but didn't keep most dirt in the filter screen.
2025-06-16: My pool is now open, and I've been able to use this twice. My above-ground pool is sloped to a center-drain, but I didn't experience problems as others have described; I found the device easily powered up the slope. It zooms around and covers a 24' pool quite effectively. (Make sure to turn off the pool pump, to stop the current created from the water return.) Here's the problem I found: it moves around well, but I don't find that it actually picks up much. Its like it sucks it through, then sends it out the other end. It looks clean for a short while, but within an hour or so the dirt has settled to the bottom again. Very little stays in the filter screen. Heavier bits like pine needles stay in the filter, but after the initial pool opening, most of the dirt is more silty in nature, and that just goes right through the machine. Depending of the type of dirt in your pool, this may work better for you than it did for me. Battery life and power were good. Original: I will update this review in the spring, because I can't actually use the cleaner yet. However, I've unpacked it and gone through the instructions, and the quality, fit, finish and instructions are all good. It charged up nicely. One thing that I think I will like about this cleaner is that I can turn the pump off during cleaning. This will allow the water to stop turning in my round pool, and will let the cleaner get to spots my other cleaner cannot, due to the constant current in the pool. I think that's going to be a big win for this item. I gave it 5 stars so far because I haven't found anything wrong with the packaging, charging, instructions. Will update in a couple of months.
