My 3 month old baby had already started teething!! She kept spitting her pacifier out and chewing on her hands. When I received this in the mail, I washed it immediately and gave it to her. She loved it right away. She's still barely learning to coordinate putting things in her mouth, but this toy is big enough for her to hold and not too heavy. I haven't freezes it yet but my baby girl likes it right out of the fridge. I would recommend as a great first teething toy. It's a great price for a great product. And BPA free!

The plastic on this teether is much rougher than I expected it to be. When my niece chewed on it, it made her gums bleed! The plastic is very scratchy and there are ridges and jaggedy spots where the pattern is engraved. Now I know that I prefer the soft, gel teethers, rather than the plastic ones. I had expected this teether to be soft and squishy, since it was for babies, but I was extremely disappointed when I found that it made my 5 month old niece's gums bleed. I would think they would have done a little more trial and error on this product before they placed it on the market for buyers. It's obviously not good for babies, at all, which kind of makes it pointless, since babies are all it that was intended for!

I really like this teether! It's big enough for the baby to get a good grip on with both hands and she seems to enjoy it chewing on it. A word of warning.. I absentmindedly stuck this in the bottle sterilizer and put it in the microwave not remembering that the instructions say NOT to do that. It melted and I had to get a new one. I do stick it in the dishwasher though (which I think the instructions might also warn against) and it's been fine. My baby isn't teething quite yet but I think this teether will come in very handy when time comes.
