I bought these because they there weren't any batteries involved. I get tired of changing batteries and eventually quit using any item because of the hassle. That being said, I might not use these because the length of the USB Cord is a whole 12 inches long! Really?! The other disturbing thing is that the light cord gets hot where the USB connects to the wire for the lights; it looks like it was wrapped in black electrical tape, and it heats right up when plugged in. These lights were purchased to decorate the bottom of a vase that I put dried seaweed into. Dried grass + heat = possible fire hazard. And lastly, the 6 lights on the end of the strand didn't light up at all because the wire is too flimsy. I fixed this little defect by twisting the wires together. Overall, I really wanted to like these lights because they do look good; but there are just too many cons and not enough pros for me to give it a glowing review. Since I paid a negligible price I will end up just throwing them away instead of going through the process of returning them. What a major disappointment!

Quite a few LED lamps and such are just too bright (or blue tint), so I thought about using battery-powered LED lights that are attached to the main support bar in my rooftop tent.I attached them with velcro strips, and they have held up well so far (multiple outings). I have a USB on/off switch, and I just plug that all into a USB battery pack, and they light up the tent very well, but with a warm light that doesn't make me want to start singing "Blinded by the Light". They are warm enough light that even when we have the middle of the night bio urge (why does that always happen camping?), they don't wake us up with blue light and we can get back to sleep easily.They stay attached to my tent frame, and get folded up into the tent, and have yet to have any problems or failures. My wife liked them because they are not bright, it is warm light, and she says it looks like Christmas lights in the tent.They work great for us, so really happy with them.

Loved these! Super easy to install although they did get a bit tangled. Use a TP roll or something similar to help keep it rolled up neatly. The traditional lights went out on my small tree I keep on my front porch every year so I bought these and they're perfect. Don't get hot and the wire is very flexible so it's much easier than working with traditional wired lights. I'll probably buy another set to go inside my mercury glass containers I have outside as part of my porch display. These are so versatile I may buy two or three more sets and use them on top of my kitchen cabinets to highlight collections of mason jars I have up there. Lots of uses for these!

Lights are nothing more than two lengths of extremely fine bare wire with pin-head size glue dots (the lights) with no plug to attach the usb to an electrical outlet. Just spent a hour trying to untangle one string. Another example of Amazon not checking its sellers descriptions. This is the third order of sub-par or outdated items that I have been sent in the last 10 days. It is a waste to buy items that I must throw away because Amazon says they cannot be returned, but only tells me that after the item arrives and is unsatisfactory. Not happy with Amazon. Not the same as when I first ordered in 2009.

These little lights were just the thing we needed when my husband was on crutches and wanted some light to guide him in and out of the bedroom in the middle of the night. I put them up around the window behind the drapes so they cast a soft glow that doesn’t interfere with our sleep. The neighbors may think we have the Christmas lights on again but hey, who cares? The wire is very thin with a plastic-like coating and keeps its shape when bent so it was easy to attach to small hooks on the window frame. Much better than the thick green cord that actual holiday lights come with and I’ll bet the lights last longer too. Pleased with this purchase.

We bought these to help give some extra light in our rabbits hutch because we work evenings and hated leaving her in pitch black and didn’t want to leave the lights on in the room because it was still dark under one section of her hutch. They were really easy to work with and we taped it along the wall outside her hutch out of reach from the curiosity of the bunny. It’s the perfect level of light that isn’t overwhelming to her little eyes. So far no issues with LED’s burning out with it running 8-10 hours a day and it definitely was a lot longer than we needed but we’re happy!

Bought this specifically because it was plug-in and not solely battery operated. However, for whatever ridiculous reason the last setting the lights were set at DOES NOT maintain when the power is cut. So, if like most people with a smart home who want to plug these into a smart outlet or even a regular timer outlet, the lights reset back to "off" mode when they lose power. So, if you were hoping to automate these lights with an on/off schedule you're out of luck because you need need physically turn them back on with with remote once they are off (they will not turn back on with the return of power). Would have been extremely easy for them to program them to turn on with power. As they are, useless for my needs. If you feel like manually turning them on and off then they may work for you.

I have downsized to a 24” tabletop Xmas tree and even regular “fairy lights” were too big and overwhelming. One string of these is perfect. The “bulbs” are just small translucent blobs about every 4” along the wire. Since the wire holds its shape it is easy to place each light precisely. The light is neither yellow nor blue, but a very neutral (and surprisingly bright) white. I love that I can plug the USB plug into my solar phone power pack and have free lights, then unhook the charger to put it in the window during the day. ! I am seriously considering ordering more strings for non-Xmas ambience. Cheaper than candles and no pollution.

Well, was brilliant until the cats chewed off the wire... now left with just a dozen or so lights. Hahah. Nevermind, the fact that the cats are devils is NOT the fault of these lights!The usb plug itself has a button where you can change all the light settings (flashing, steady-on, etc), handy in case you lose the remote. The remote can also dim the lights, or you can set them on a timer.The amount of lights and sting was perfect for a 5ft Christmas tree.

Brilliant, quick delivery.. going to save a fortune on rechargeable batteries.. love the look of the lights, the copper isn't offensive to look at like other LEDs during the day.. be nice if the timer instructions were put in the description... Cheers.

Love these lights, brighten up a dark corner

Bought these to use in my room. I'm surprised at how bright they are, they really make a difference! Remote control feature is really useful. The only criticism I feel like making is that when they turn on they revert to blinking mode, instead of steady on
