Very clear optics. Good range of eye relief adjustment.

Great in every way. The only thing I hate is the cheep eye covers.

I really tried to like these binoculars but in the end they had to go. The lens body is heavy, solid and very well put together and the optical side of things is excellent. They are superb lenses which are crystal clear, very bright and sharp. Just what I wanted from a viewing point of view. The problem is the cheap and poor eye relief assembly. When I removed the eye lens cover it pulled off the rubber eye cup. When I adjusted the eye relief one rubber eye cup remained slightly loose and clicked backwards and forwards, in and out. They also had a tendency to randomly collapse back in towards the body and there was no way to lock the rubber eye relief cups in the 'out' position. It may seem trivial but these cups are the only points in contact with your face and I found the unwanted movement very irritating. The other minor annoyance was a squeaky noise from the central adjustment wheel every time I refocussed on another object. All in all I came to the conclusion that the these irritations would drive me mad every time I used the bins. It frustrates me that an excellent optical system is failed by an eye relief system which is not designed and made to the same standard. I have cheaper bins where the eye cup can be adjusted out and stays put, but sadly not these.

I bought these as a 70th (yikes!) Birthday present for myself, and I am so glad that I did. I did a LOT of research before purchasing these, and they must surely be one of the best buys for first-time binocular owners. Reason being: they are so comfortable and much less weighty than many competitors' (10X50s can be up to 3 pounds!). My brother was quite pleased (and a bit surprised, I think) that I bought these without asking him beforehand. (He prefers the $400-$500 German glass binocs.) I am looking forward to his next visit when we will spend some time out in the 'wild' here on the Central Coast comparing our glasses. I didn't even realize that they are also waterproof. Happy Birthday to me!! BTW, I do coastal trail and cliff walks, target shoot, and just generally love to 'eyeball' the great outdoors. Much easier to enjoy those things now, thanks to these glasses.

These are excellent binoculars. From the centre out to the edges, the image this produces is very sharp. The lens coatings also appear to produce a warmer white colour to images (noticeable in snow covered areas), I found this pleasant to look at. The build quality is excellent and it looks like it could take a half decent fall. The eye cup adjustments for glasses and none glasses viewing work well and it comes with a good carrying case. A minor issue is the eye cup protective covers could have been made a little tighter fitting, I can see how you could accidentally lose one. Compared to some others in this 10X50 class range, it is a little bit larger but the image quality and brightness is superior to some of those. Under low lighting conditions, again it is superior to some of the other binoculars I have looked at. My only issue with all of these "straight tubed" looking types of binoculars is the flat looking images - an object at 50 yards and another at 100 yards in the image look to be at the same distance, there is no 3D depth distinction. The "bent tubed" type binoculars give more of a 3D look to images. To sum up, on pure image quality, these are excellent binoculars.

These binoculars offer superior image clarity and crispness in this price bracket. And comes into its element in lower light conditions. However the large dimensions of the binoculars can become a concern for smaller people. The binoculars is very light for its physical signature and built robustly.
