I’m going to be really honest whit this product, I’m going to start whit the pros. Good presentation, good packaging, and thats it :/ looks good on the first glance but once you start using it all you want to do it’s just go for a good cup of coffee. The cup it’s to small, you have to chose the 6oz. Or 8oz . Or it will spill once you add your creamer, and something else, we never find out if it was working right, I have a smart mug and my co workers too, so it’s not our first time using this cups and none of us was really sure on what to press to make it work. It was a gift and I feel embarrassed to be honest. I just returned and order an ember for almost the same price :/

I was really intrigued about this smart much and was excited to see how it may help me. I have a busy job and find that my coffee often goes cold so this was exciting as it possibly offers as solution. The device is really sharp in appearance. It looks well made and of high quality. It comes in three parts, consisting of a base, a mug and then the watertight lid. To use, the mug can be used on the base whilst charging or away from the base. By downloading the app and linking your phone to it, you get a wider range of settings and the ability to track the temperature. The app however is a bit glitchy and adding the mug was quite frustrating. After a reinstall though it finally worked. When you set the mug to heat or maintain heat, the app tracks the current temperature and displays it on the screen. This is in addition to telling you what target temperature you have set it to. To try it out I made my coffee and have sat with it for over an hour. It’s still 57•c at the time of writing this review. Essentially as hot as I’d normally drink it. Overall it is a really good idea but to be very honest cold coffee isn’t the biggest problem and I do find myself questioning whilst it is good, is it needed? I believe that as it has the ability to maintain warmth and heat that this is a great mug for commuting or for those with jobs that demand their focus moves throughout the day. A good product and I would recommend it if you believe it is something that would benefit you. It is a nice to have item.

I bought this as a gift for my mother. Easy to use and looks good. Customer service were very helpful and easy to contact via WhatsApp. The lid is a nice touch that other similar products don't have. Pleased to say my mother is happy with this product.

On the plus side: The mug definitely serves a purpose. It is not a travel mug nor is it a cup warmer that you can set your mug on and have it heat all day long. The Smart Mug does allow you to enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee (for an hour or so) that stays hot to the end. Or if you are a busy mom you can drink your coffee on the run in between distractions and demands and not be drinking it cold when you reach the end. (Incidentally, I had a couple of cup warmers and realized how dangerous they are when I noticed a burning smell coming from one of the rooms. They are definite fire hazards and I don't recommend having them around small children. They went in the garbage.). On the negative side: We have two Smart Mugs now and the lids do not fit tight on either of them. I'm not sure if that is the intention or if we just happened to get two that don't fit. Also, the instructions could be a bit clearer and more detailed. It is obvious they have been translated to English.
