ThinSlim Foods Zero Net Carb Keto Bread | Low Carb Bread | Protein Bread | Plain (Pack of 2)

I have been on the keto diet for 2 weeks now, last week was awful, lol. So many cravings! But I have lost around 10lbs so far, and I want to keep going. However, I am so sick of bacon... and eggs... and cheese... and other meats/veggies... if you're on keto, you know what I mean! Lol. So I bucked up and did something I never thought I would do in my life. I bought a loaf of bread for $12.99. Haha. The price is outrageous- that being said, I am not betty crocker by any means and I pretty much fail at every recipe I have ever tried making (yes even the easy ones). I am a wing it kind of girl. So there is no way I will succeed in making my own keto bread lol. So in my honest opinion, the taste is okay... I mean I would never try it un-toasted. Toasted however tastes pretty darn close to regular bread. I smothered it in butter, and slapped on some smuckers sugar free raspberry jam, and I felt kinda human again! Haha. I have also had it toasted with egg salad on top, and I have tried it with about a tablespoon of natural peanut butter. These all tasted great together. Can I tell that it is no carb- sure. The texture of the bread is kind of thick and spongy. Just like others say it reminds them of a sense sourdough, (feeling not taste) I agree with that. The pieces are extremely small. I would say about the same size as the Sara lee 45 calorie bread. But every time I eat this bread, I am completely not hungry anymore after the first bite. Shipping- supposed to get it in one day, but we had snow so it was 2 days. About 3-4 peices we smushed , but they retained their shape after I took it out of the packaging. I was worried about mold because of other reviewers, and I had no trouble with that at all. I just did the smart thing, kept a few peices in the fridge, and put the rest of the loaf in the freezer. I will take it out as needed. That will make me eat it slower anyway. It is 12.99 lol.. Also I am only going to eat it toasted, so it doesnt matter if its frozen. All in all I am hooked. I have done extensive research on all of the keto websites, and they all say this is for sure keto friendly. 0 net carbs! Good ingredients. Also, if anyone wanted to know if this might kick you out of ketosis, fear not! Lol I ate some on two separate occasions, then used the ketosis test sticks, and not only was I still in ketosis, I actually had more ketones in my system than earlier in the morning. So I'm not worried. Lol. Anyway, I hope this review helped. I am off to go butter my bread and broil it to make a nice french dip sandwich with a little au jus! Yumm! You won't regret it- just do something nice for yourself and buy some bread! Lol have a great day everyone!!!

This bread was so disappointing. It has no flavor and is so dry and hard to eat. I tried making several different sandwiches with this bread and they all tasted so bad. The bread is so dry that you have to cover it with mayo or some other sauce just to be able to eat it. I had to drink several glasses of water also just to wash it down. I was really looking forward to this being a part of my Keto diet, but instead I ended up throwing away almost all of it, because there was no way that I could eat it.

Have tried a few different brands and recipes, but so far this one is my favorite. I don't test my blood sugar or use keto strips, so I cannot speak to its claims about being 0 net carbs. [PACKAGING] The bread comes sealed nicely and stores well. After opened, my bread stayed soft in a ziplock bag for the 1 week out of the fridge without issue. I just opened the 2nd loaf and it is in great condition. [TEXTURE] Out of the package, it is soft and feels very similar to normal sliced, white bread. Untoasted, it is very chewy. Toasted, it's like regular bread. This bread is noticeably denser than storebought sliced bread. For me, two slices for a sandwich tasted too bready. It is tricky, but I like to slice the bread even thinner to get two pieces out of one. [COOKING WITH IT] One of the things I like most about this bread is that it toasts perfectly, just like normal bread. I made garlic bread, avocado toast, and grilled sandwiches. [TASTE] It's good. But you should realize it is not the same as plain white bread (personally, I don't think anything is). This bread is all fiber and you can taste it, although the taste is subtle. If you are eating simple things like buttered toast or are using bland fillings, the taste of the bread will come through. However, I didn't have any issues with taste when I made garlic bread and big meaty sandwiches. All in all, I am happy that I bought this bread and will likely try other products.

First, this is probably more 3.5 or 4 stars. It has been probably 3 years since I had the pleasure of eating a piece of toast or eating a real sandwich and I really missed toast. I use CarbQuick for low carb biscuits (which are fantastic) but the flour didn't turn out so well in the bread machine. Found this bread by accident and bought it based on reviews. First, the flavor is good (especially the everything) although slightly more bland than usual bread (probably lack of sugar) however, the texture is awesome. The slices are a little small yet big enough to make a decent sandwich or a couple pieces of toast. Being able to toast a slice and add butter and cream cheese was the best treat in a long time. I almost had tears of joy while taking a bite. For myself, there is a blood sugar impact after a couple hours. Not terrible but does require some minimal correction. I also can only eat two slices or will have a bigger problem. I could probably get away with just one slice and not have to correct but where is the fun in that? That is the only reason for taking a star or two away. This may not be an issue with everyone though since many of us react differently to various ingredients. The bread is good, tastes great with any number of toppings and make awesome sandwiches. Kind of bland without a topping though. Yay for toast again!! Update 4/9/15: Turns out the primary issue for me is related to insulin resistance. I have been battling that for quite some time using Symlin+Invokana. I thought it was under control but turns out the resistance had come back. Once I figured that out, I was able to correct and now can enjoy an entire sandwich (like grilled cheese or peanut butter and jelly) with little issue. There is still a slight blood sugar impact but very minimal. The bread and bagels are awesome and I am SO GLAD to have come across it on Amazon. Loved it so much I checked out "Linda'sDietDelites" website which has a TON of low carb, sugar free options at reasonable prices.
