Bosch Cordless Telescopic Hedge Trimmer UniversalHedgePole 18 (1 Battery, 18 Volt System, in Carton Packaging)

I have a corded normal hedge trimmer and doing the hedges which are over 2m high and 1m deep in some place has been back braking and sometimes dangerous work that took up to 3hrs. Charged this new battery extended trimmer up in 30 minutes and spent two hours from front to back pulling the hedges right back after crazy growth recently. It cuts through thick branches but does need a few moments to get through. It's heavy enough on your arms after a while but the strap really helps. Recommend spending few minutes working out how to leverage the strap for each new cutting angle you will use. Also found it really handy to change the head angle plenty as I was able to cut all of the top and back side of hedges really well by changing it. I knew one of these would make life much easier and save all the bee stings I usually get whilst at the top of my ladder trying to reach tricky spots. No cable means you can walk around and check your work often without having to move cables that get tangled in the hedge. Extremely happy with what I read before buying to actual result using it. Highly recommend for those with tall or wide hedges that grow fast. It's hard work so do expect to need good upper body strength to use.

It's good, it managed to trim my hedges and get a neat finish on it. It doesn't have a cable, obviously, which is great as I have twice cut through my mains power with varying degrees of fear. The downside of this product. The power is quite weak. It constantly jams and I find myself often bringing the blade down and removing twigs jammed stuck in it. This was never an issue before with my mains trimmer. And we are talking 2 cm max diameter twigs. This made it a very long process having to unjam and constantly bring it down. My big hedge usually takes an hour to do with mains, with this product it was two and a half. Also because of this issue one of the key advantages, extension pole, doesn't really work as I have to keep reaching to unjam. And because you have to go slowly, small section at a time lest it jam, it meant I had to use a ladder to get up to see it and take it carefully. The second issue that comes from this is the weight. And reading other reviews it is great to see it is not just me. I go to the gym 5 days a week and train twice a day (not meant to be a flex), but using this product my shoulders were wrecked! It is incredibly heavy over a long time even with the strap. I was absolutely shattered at the end of the use and had to give it three days before working on the garden again. I have given it 4 because it is generally good and these things are just part of using the product really and not sure how they would mitigate this.

I bought this to replace a cheaper pole hedge trimmer that broke on the first use. This was more expensive but I have got other Bosch tools so I felt comfortable spending the extra. It is fairly light and easy to use in the vertical position when cutting tall hedges. It can feel a bit heavy if cutting short hedges where you hold it horizontally but this can but helped by using the enclosed shoulder strap. I have used it on a large privet hedge and it coped very well both on the sides and on the top. I have used it on a fir tree to cut overhanging branches upto the max thickness, it never jammed once. The battery was still working after 40 minutes. It comes with a 2.5ah battery but it also works with my Bosch drill battery which is 1.5ah so it is versatile. It comes with a 3yr warranty as well. Highly recommend this tool.

I am a fit 76 year old who normally has no difficulty with Garden and DIY tasks. For me though this tool is unusable. It is very heavy, too heavy to lift and hold steady at the desired angle. It also has closely set teeth and poor cutting power - if like me your hedge has any thick or woody stems it won't cope. It's bulky to store and it's pointless to keep something I won't be using. Looks like it's off to the charity shop or the tip - a costly mistake.

Hedge trimmer is fine but the battery does not last long enough to complete a small-ish hedge despite having a full charge and maximising its capacity. Hedge trimmer quite heavy and mine did not come with a supporting strap to go over shoulder to take weight. Extended length is a lottery as to whether it works effectively given there is no support to hold it. It's done the job but I feel there are better options available. Certainly not something that a professional gardener should buy.

Was easy to assemble. Used it twice now on my conifers and it cuts really well. The small battery lasts a long time. It is quite heavy to use but the strap that comes with it helps when reaching to cut the tops of my trees. The head angles so no need to use a ladder. It takes a bit of strength to use. From my use so far I would recommend it.

This gadget works well on hedges and bushes, but the top end is very heavy to use, and the strap is too low to really help. So you’ll be tired after a short session of cutting, although it’s very satisfying to see the results. I also had a faulty strap connector, which Bosch replaced quickly.

C'est inadmissible donc que vous livriez ça en France....! il faut donc me faire le changement en urgence Merci M.M.

Acheté taille haie télescopique de marque Bosch et de fabrication anglaise. Sachez que le chargeur de batterie est aux normes anglaise donc il faut se procurer un adaptateur anglais francais afin de pourvoir recharger la batterie. Il serait bien que cela soit précisé a l'achat afin d'éviter cette déconvenue ou alors qu'il soit fourni.
