We got this for my son's 5th birthday - he wanted a crawler but we didn't want to spend a huge amount. He loves it and has used and abused it for the last 3 months and it is still going strong. It is amazingly capable and can go over rocks and obstacles, up steep hills, off jumps and down stairs, through snow, mud, and puddles (prolonged submersion not recommended). Due to the nature of their use, all crawlers do sometimes need repairs. After 2 months, the steering developed an issue and we contacted customer service for spare parts. They were extremely responsive with sending spare parts and helped me repair the problem right away.

Our 4 year old son received this truck for his birthday and he’s able to use it easily. I upgraded the shocks after one of the original ones broke. I also swapped out the 800mah 6v battery for a 2200mah 6v, for a longer run time. I love how it’s not too fast and it’s easy for my child to control. However, you do have to remember to turn the truck switch to the off position when not using. Even if not playing with the truck, the battery would drain overnight if left on. I thought the battery or truck was defective at first, since the battery had been charged but the truck lasted less than a minute before dying. Once we realized this, we haven’t had the battery drain issue anymore.

Overall, this is a great truck. I wasn't sure what to expect for ~$50, but my 4 and 6 year old children are very happy with them. They go just about anywhere and I'm impressed with how much run time they get on one battery pack. The photo shows the green and blue versions, with Traxxas Rustler in the middle. In regard to green vs blue models.... we have both. My vote is BLUE. They are exactly the same truck minus the body. They are the same speed. However, the blue model spends way less time on it's back than the green. The blue model, due to the shape of the body, tends to roll itself back over more than the green. Glad went for this size. I thought it would be too big, but it is very nice size. Also, Nice speed (not too fast) so kids can control better. I like how it can climb up small object or hop down the steps etc, however, after week of playing, it does not turn to Left. I don't see any outside damage, or even yet, when I lift the unit, wheel does turn all the way to the left, but when it is on land, wheel does not turn all the way and just goes straight (or right turn only). Hopefully i can fix it one day, and hopefully it is more durable so kids can play longer. They love it. [update] Tried to fix but I did not go too deep with it. loosen and re tighten the screw on front wheel box area and not fully but improved bit for wheel turn. [Another Update] Started to make more grinding sound while turning (and having hard time turns). The rib holds the gear shafts for turning mechanism was broken. Contacting CS right now

I bought this as a birthday gift for my grandson. Unfortunately when we opened it up to use it there was no battery or charging cable sent. Updated. Don’t waste you money, this car is junk. I researched and ordered batteries for it. But the car only works some of the time. It’ll go fine for awhile and then just stop responding. Changing the battery out doesn’t help. Then after while sitting it’ll start working again and be fine for a bit then stop again.

My kindergartner received three different RC cars for Christmas. This was the best as it has lasted the longest (one of the three didn’t make it 24 hours before seizing up), had best battery life (the one that took AA was returned unopened - just a hard pass on that) and had amazingly good customer service (plastic shock and gear broke so company sent a new truck when I emailed to ask about replacement parts!) Almost two months later and still running! The downside on durability is that the plastic parts are fragile, but the upside is that the company will help get you parts to get it up and running again. I recommend it. Great customer service is always appreciated.
