Recomendable

Sound investment for scalpel users.
Solidly built metal handle, 3 positions: shut, half extended and full extent. I’m very happy with the quality, safety and utility for model making, electronics, crafts etc. Also nice to know it’s safe in your pocket when you need to trim off your cucumber sandwich crusts, then a quick wipe off on your hanky, retract, re-pocket and then whip her out again in theatre and get straight on with the appendectomy in hand! Wizard!

Sturdy and reliable. Much better than an unguarded blade.
Sturdy, reliable with good positive detents. Much safer than an unguarded blade. I use it for cutting vinyl wrap and masking tape and this is much safer and controllable than the "normal" scalpel handle. Worth the extra money.
