The Presto 06857 Electric Foldaway Skillet has quickly become one of my favorite kitchen appliances. I love this product. It is my 2nd purchase and is a wedding shower gift. Love how easy it is to clean and store. Cooking temp is right on que. Size is perfect for family meals.

We make a lot of things on a frying pan, from breakfast to dinners. We usually use a variety of pans from cast iron to a non-stick pan/skillet. I was trying to make life easier on my wife and all of us, but giving her more cooking options and a larger cooking surface, so I decided to try an electric skillet. I had one a long time ago, but I just stopped using one. There's many of options, and while I'm not opposed to spending money on a quality of products, mostly all of them, even the more expensive options received negative reviews and those reviews were mostly centered around hot and cold spots on the cooking surface, and the thermostats turning off the heating elements when they reach their desired temps. Which, I'm quite certain that's what they're supposed to do, but anyway....After reading many customer reviews and product reviews by "experts" and rating companies, I decided on this product. I must say, that it has not disappointed us. We use it almost daily, sometimes twice a day. We've used it for almost a year for just about everything that you'd throw in a frying pan. This product works great. Zero complaints. It cooks the food fast and evenly. If there's a cold spot or a hot spot, we haven found it yet! The temp seems accurate, consistent, and evenly dispersed. It cleans up nicely, and so far the non-stick surface has yet to become worn. It stores away fairly nicely as well. I would definitely recommend this product, even over the more expensive options.

This is a decent skillet, and it should be, considering that over the past six years I've purchased it six times (five for me, one for my sister's house for when I'm there and need to cook). This averages out to be replaced roughly once per year, as the non-stick surface eventually wears off despite my only using plastic or silicone spatulas. It is my primary skillet for frying things, so I use it at least once per week. The cost is low enough that I don't mind replacing it yearly, considering how convenient it is to use, clean and store. Having said that, do not believe what you may read in the comments because THIS IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE. I bought my first dishwasher late last year and have been washing this skillet in there regularly. After a while, I noticed that my fingers were turning black when I picked it up after washing or from the top of the refrigerator where I store it between uses. I assumed it was because of the dishwasher, but hey, the comments and Amazon said it was dishwasher safe, so I assumed it was just nearing the end of its life. Nope. The instructions that come inside the package specifically state that not only is the skillet NOT dishwasher safe, but if you clean it in one, you may end up with a grey powder on the bottom due to the detergent. So, overall, this is a satisfactory electric skillet that is super easy to clean (even by hand) and even better, super easy to store as all the pieces fit together when putting it away. However, I'm docking it one star for not being dishwasher safe this far into the 21st century.

Great skillet. Heats quickly and evenly. Nothing sticks or burns. So easy to wash. Makes a great gift.

I love this skillet! The cord is decently long enough (not that I wouldn't have liked it a bit longer but still). It's SO easy to clean. Cooks evenly for the most part (maybe on corner where it doesn't get quite as hot if I can judge by the brown-ness of my hashbrowns. It nests nicely for storage, and I think I feel better about the lining being ceramic vs. teflon. I researched skillets for a long time before choosing this one.

Wow! Packaging was excellent, this skillet is Awesome. Heats up fast, non stick, size and weight perfect! Amazing price for a skillet that looks great, functions top notch, and stores compact.

Not for Indian kitchen

I have owned many electric frying pans over the years, all coated, even one coated in ceramic and this appliance is the best one I have ever purchased. I love the large size. The ability to take it from its stand and put it in the top of the dishwasher is A-Mazing! I love the rounded edges. And even better than the ease and aesthetics, is how evenly it cooks. Most Pam's seem to get really hot where the elements are but this one seems to be hot equally everywhere. And I have now had it for a few months and with almost daily use the pan looks perfect and you cannot see where the elements even are (some of the ones I owned in the past discoloured quickly where the elements are. All on all I would highly recommend this pan.
