This item has all the features you would want for home kitchen prep. All the slicing options are adjustable for size and easy to change. Straight slicing is precise and super quick. The blades that allow you to cut julienne slices or fries are also super efficient. The feature that is most useful for me is definitely the dicing option. It takes a few tries to get the motion of the handle right, but the result is great. You get evenly sized cubes of whatever you have, they look nice and cook evenly and you save a ton of knife work. This feature was lacking from several less expensive versions I looked at and I’m glad I chose it. This unit is definitely worth the price: full featured, easy to use and clean, super durable construction and folds for space saving.

I had a choice, it was either this one or an expensive french mandolin at $150, I chose this one, after receiving it recently, I went through it checking all of the settings and functions which checks out good and everything is working properly, for the price I paid, it's a good buy and I'm glad I purchased this mandolin.

Nice, but hard to clean, so don't use it much.

Mine shipped with the deck out-of-whack so it's possible that I got a defective unit. The cutting blade is reasonably sharp but the julienne blades are useless and rarely result in a clean cut. The various adjustment mechanisms are difficult to operate. After about a year of light use the unit was entirely unusable and was discarded.

I received mine last night & used it this morning to slice Honeycrisp apples, which are in the dehydrator. The next thing I will try is French fries.
