Thomy Mayonnaise is the best, very tasty

Smooth but slightly tangy
This is great tasting mayonnaise, but when it arrived I discovered one of the tubes had ruptured somehow so I only had 1 left to use. It is very creamy and has a slightly different taste than “regular” mayonnaise, almost with a slight tang. It is easy to squeeze it out of the tube and I wish I had both tubes to use. This is really good stuff, and I appreciate that there are no preservatives, no food coloring, and it’s made from free-range eggs.

The last date of purchase and the ingredients
That the tubes are smaller that I thought. Price is high. Bigger tubes found in stores are the same price but in a double quantity

Very Tasty, Smooth And Flavorful Mayo – Highly Recommended!
This product arrived fast after ordering, in just a few days. It was delivered in great packaging and the two tubes were in brand new perfect condition as if I had just plucked them off a store shelf. This mayonnaise is just absolutely wonderful. It has a great light and creamy consistency. The taste is superb! You can actually taste the egg! But of course as with so many things the “mouth feel” is also important and this mayo has that. The flavor of this includes a subtle tang. It’s not sour but has just a hint of a “kick.” As someone who loves honey mustard salad dressing and sometimes mixes a bit of that into my mayo, I really appreciate the taste of this product. It’s really good! This mayo compares quite favorably to any of the major brands typically available in US grocery stores. I first used it on a BLT sandwich that I prepared for lunch and was extremely pleased with how well it complemented the other ingredients. The squeeze tubes also mean you can meter out just what you want without wasting any on a spoon or knife getting it out of a bottle. Highly recommended! When I ordered this it was $11.19 for the two tubes which is a bit pricey but, heck, a little variety is the spice of life, right?

This is VERY good.
When I lived in the EU, it was common to have a lot of your condiments in tin tubes like this. I really liked it. They are easy to get all the product out of, plus you can recycle it easily. I actually thought this was a German product, but turns out it is Bulgarian. I used it one day when I was making a chicken salad. Let me tell you, I dont get excited about mayo. The most excited about mayo I get, it when I make it myself. But this stuff is very good. I could taste it in my food, but it was a good taste. Normally when I can "taste" the mayo, I don't like it. I think this has a bit of mustard and lemon added to it, which makes it so flavorful. I dont use a ton of mayo, it's mostly just as an accent. I love using this on the kids sandwiches for school, because it also dirties no utensils. This is one I will definitely be repurchasing.

Mustard is the secret!
As a sous chef, I have tasted many mayonnaises. The short review is that this a good to very good mayonnaise. It has a good creaminess, great consistency, that yummy touch of acidity, and has that tangy undertone that blends wells with a lot of dishes. However, would I buy this over mayonnaise brands you would find in a North American supermarket like Blue Plate, Hellmann's, or Duke's? Probably not. This Thomy mayonnaise performs similarly to those brands I listed. The texture and added fat of those brands and Thomy go well with dishes like sandwiches or salads. The difference with Thomy is that it's a bit more tangy. As a sous chef I immediately knew the secret -- Mustard seeds! To be honest, if you like the flavor of Thomy, you could just buy some mustard seeds and grind them into your preferred American mayo brand to get a very similar taste. In fact, if you compare the nutrition labels of Thomy versus Blue Plate Mayo (which we use at our restaurants), the fat percentages are pretty similar. The only thing to note about Thomy is that it has a little bit less sodium levels than most other American mayos. Overall, great mayo but if you were expecting something very different from typical North American mayonnaise brands because this is from Europe, then you'll be disappointed. The main difference is really the addition of mustard seeds and using sunflower oil instead of canola oil. And I could write paragraphs on this and debate this all day but imo canola oil is better than sunflower oil. If you want to try something different, I would recommend trying Kewpie for the great unami flavor. Lastly, a note about the container. This comes in an aluminum tube. It's fine. I usually prefer jar variants (by the way a lot of mayo brands have higher fat contents for jar variants versus squeeze variants but that's another discussion). My only issue is that it's a little hard to squeeze the mayo out the metal tube once the tube get below a quarter full. *** As an aside, one of the mayo tubes I received had a pinhole leak. There was mayo everywhere when I opened the bag container the 2-pack. I saw some other reviews reporting similar issues. I understand issues happen and I hope it was just a bad batch. My review and score was not impacted by one of the damaged tubes.
