This stove is a lifesaver and we absolutely love it. There are no bad things I can say about it, and if it ever broke, we would replace it with the same stove immediately. This stove is a game changer for camping. We used to just cook everything, and heat our coffee water on a campfire which can just take forever sometimes. This stove heats up SO quickly and saves so much time. It is incredibly simple to use, just pop it open, connect the propane port to the stove, connect the propane tank to the port, turn the dial on the stove to start the propane, and fire it up! It takes only a few minutes and the flame is strong for fast cooking. One small Coleman propane tank lasts us multiple camping trips depending on use. We have also busted this stove out when our power goes out at home as well which has been a huge help. The stove is small, packs up easily, and slim for easy packing. The wind guards are excellent and we have never had issues with being unable to use it. While we have no issues with these things, there are a couple things to note. When the wind guards are on it does slightly inhibit the size of pot you can use on the stove. Since we use camping cookware and pots we have not seen any issues with that. You will also want to make sure you have a bit of table space to fit the stove when the propane tank is attached. With the port and the tank attached it adds maybe 5-6 inches of extra width you will need on the table. Overall, HIGHLY recommend this stove. You will not regret it.

This was a 2020 purchase. I have had no regrets buying this stove for my initial van build (so the year wasn't an entirely awful fluke). It's helped me get over my fear of using propane in my van, which has given me a bit more freedom, as well. A lot less things I eat now "require" a campfire. I've made perfect popcorn, pizza, pasta, and matcha lattes, while stealth camping! It's economical because most everything I cook uses a low setting and completes in minutes. A small 16lb. propane tank can last a couple of weeks. CON: If you only use electric appliances, temperature control may be an initial challenge - it's easy to burn everything. The best way to overcome: After you make a perfect something at the lowest setting possible, but before turning off, use a sharpie to mark your own settings for low, med, and high. The stove has a built in handle to carry and store, but I cut little squares of rubbery shelf liner and used double stick gorilla tape on the small, dimpled feet of the stove so it doesn't move when I drive. The only thing I don't like, and stopped removing from the stove, is the propane arm, which doesn't easily screw on and off.

I bought this stove to use while car camping for a two week road trip this fall. It worked flawlessly. The burners cook food quickly, almost too quickly. Certainly it would be difficult to simmer or slow cook anything on this stove. While the nobs allow you to adjust the power of the flame, the reality is that there's really only a variation on the high setting. If you try and get a low flame, it will likely burn out. The good news is that it is rare that anyone would need a low heat for camping. We cooked sausage, eggs, beans, etc., without problem. Boiling water was so fast! Regarding the materials, I think for the price you get what you pay for. The green metal is a bit flimsy/thin, but if you are careful with it, I think it should last a while. I did notice that we were easily able to scratch the box when it is fully closed, so you want to be careful what you set on top of it while in the car or storing. The grill is solid and the burners themselves seem durable. The unit is easy to clean. One warning when putting the propane on: you want to make sure the knobs are in the off position, as they can be accidentally moved while in transit. Overall, I'm happy with this guy.

OK, I've read a lot of the reviews. I partially give credit to the negative reviews, but I would certainly not judge this kind of product so harshly. I honestly haven't done much camping so I can only comment on a "preparedness" perspective, as well as a quality perspective, since we all like nice things. So, from a preparedness perspective, you should open up your products and inspect them and try them out like new toys on Christmas. Leaving your product opening and first-time-use when you need it is just plain irresponsible. I'll mention quality first, since I want to end my review on a more positive note than a negative note. First off, everything comes from China these days and we can't expect quality to be made like they use to. What can you do, or what can we all do about it? We can boycott products made from China, or any other country including USA, that decides to make products cheaper (quality), but WOULD YOU pay more for higher quality? Don't lie. The reason why; we gradually accept lower quality products. Anyway - off my soap box. With that said, I'm also a hypocrite, but yet I will not complain about the "build quality" at all, since I think the build-quality is OK for what I paid, and why I paid it. First I'll say, the packaging is WAY overkill. They should have saved the money for packaging and spent it on the product. The stove came in a box, in a box. That's pointless. Honestly, that's also more waste I have to get rid of. Is it flimsy? Yes, it is more flimsy than I had expected, but if you are in a hiking/camping trip, you would want something light-weight. Light-weight and cheap-quality are 2 different things. Light-weight may mean something like titanium, which would probably double the cost. I'm a "flipper". I don't use a spatula much, and this stove is so light weight that it won't stand up to any pan flipping. As a point of reference, I also have a small butane burner what recently started giving me problems (is why I bought this double propane stove). I can flip pancakes, eggs, stirfry on this little burner, but the Coleman stove - it feels a little unstable and unsafe while pan-flipping. This stove does not have piezzo starter, which is a bit of a pain, since that's just one more thing you have to bring with you. I would think that would be a standard feature nowadays. I suppose not. They would have to include two units, since it has two burners. I suppose Coleman couldn't be bothered. I think that would be something many campers/hikers would pay a little extra for. Both knobs for the burners are all on the right side. I understand why. It's easier and cheaper to do so. It also wouldn't be as clean looking, but it feels a little strange. The knobs are very cheap looking as well as cheap feeling. These are extremely low-quality. Yes, this is one of those things that will bother me and I will eventually have to replace these with higher-quality feeling knobs. The valves are backwards. I can understand as well, as these are just a screw valve, and screws are usually right-handed, which means turning right will shut off the gas, and left to open it up. Coleman should at least have a sticker of something to indicate which way is which. The grate is ok, but it leaves stability to be desired. The first thing I did was boil some water as a test. It worked better than I had expected. Why is this even important? The flame-height must be just right, or you'll just be burning more fuel than necessary. Too far and your cook-surface (pan, pot) isn't benefiting from the hottest part of the flame; the tip of the blue flame. Too close and the hottest part of the flame is never realized. The grating on this stove sets your cook-surface at the right height, although the grating is too course, which means anything less than maybe 8", which I would imaging the ideal size for this camping stove, would only sit on two bars. I mentioned boiling water as my first test. I filled my 6" pot with water and set it over the burner. There weren't any issues. But then when I went out to fry some onions in the same pot, the handle of the pot was heavier than the onions, but lighter than the water, so the pot teetered and almost fell over. So the grating is too far apart for smaller pots and pans. With all the negative points out of the way, I'll end this review on a more positive vibe. Again, the cooking height is awesome. Boiling water went quickly and flawlessly. When the valve is fully open, there is a pretty significant hissing sound, which is a little scary to know how much fuel is coming out of the burner, but as long as you have a regulator on your tank (I've connected my stove to a 20lb propane tank, with adapter hose, sold separately). So far, I have not taken this stove camping yet, so the wind-shield hasn't performed as such at this point. However, it is nice as an anti-splatter shield when frying foods. It folds up nicely and pretty compact. I was a little disappointed to see such a small box when it arrived, but once set up, it's actually a comfortable size. Again, there is plenty of fuel pressure so it gets plenty hot. If you want crispy fried food, you want your oil HOT. Yes, I got the oil plenty hot that my batter burned before the meat inside was fully cooked. The proper amount of fuel for the appropriate cooking will be your own experience. So, here's a backstory. My house is currently under construction and the kitchen is completely demolished, so I am not staying at the house at the moment. I'm staying somewhere without a kitchen, and still need to provide food for the family. With the shelter-in-place situation and restaurants closed and we really don't want to leave our current dwelling, a stove such as this becomes an "in-the-field" necessity. So, this stove, which has replaced my newly failed butane burner, and a bbq grill seems to be sufficient for all our cooking needs. Given a "need to have" situation, you don't focus on posh and luxury features, and think of it in turns of usability and portability. This product is not meant to replace a built-in backyard BBQ grill. For usability and portability, it does exactly that. I would actually rate this a 3.5 star, but there is no such a rating, so I'll have to give this product 4 stars.

For starters, YES this is the basic starter model propane camp stove. Keeping with the KISS principle, this stove offers all the performance you could want, plenty of cooking area, and simple, reliable operation. I bought this stove to replace a rather unreliable 2 burner propane stove with piezo igniters. Take my word for it, keep your camp stove as simple as possible. The last thing you want is to not be able to get your stove working on a week long camping trip. There are some obvious changes that have been made over the years of the production of the classic propane stove, mostly cosmetic. I do like that this particular variant has a buckle style latch instead of a simple friction catch as I have seen those friction catches fail, a lot over the years. The burners are Coleman's standard 10,000 BTU units, for a total of 20,000 BTU capacity.. They are well made, super easy to control and produce a LOT of heat. I was able to bring a quart of water from 50 degrees F to a boil in 3 minutes. Simmer control unlike many camp stoves, is fairly straight forward and easy to manage. There are a LOT of competitors to this, and many don't even come close to the heat output, or simmer control of this stove! Cook top surface is ample with enough room for 2 good size pans. Coleman claims a 12" and 10" can coexist on the stove at the same time. While not mine, but the same model, I have used in the past to cook spaghetti and meat sauce dinner in camp for a large group. (Using the TexSport family cook set). It was no problem at all. Both pots fit easily, and we fed 8 people off of this one little stove without having to juggle anything! The finish is very nice on this, better than the competitors, and the embossed Coleman Name in the lid is a nice touch. It's an old school enameled green paint, that is very durable, and honestly, quite attractive at least to my eye... The wind guards are painfully simple, but very effective, and superior in many ways to competing designs. The side flaps are adjustable to allow for more, or less air in to the burner, and space for larger pots / pans. The wind guards, and lid fold back completely out of the way in case you have some insanely large pot you need to put on the stove. So they have you covered... My only complaint with this stove, and it is universal for ALL 2 burner propane stoves is the rigid regulator line. Good I guess if you are only going to use the disposable cylinders, but lousy if you are hooking up to a 20LB tank, or have to use your stove on a narrow surface like a Coleman Pack Away camp kitchen. This is universal to all 2 burner propane stoves so I really shouldn't fuss much... Anyway, hanging the fuel bottle off in the air, or a heavy propane hose without support can bend the fuel line,and potentially cause leaks. So always make sure your fuel line or bottle are supported! Overall, and I don't think I am overstating this. I am nearly 50 years old at this time, and I fully expect this stove will outlast me, and likely be handed down in my estate. It's just that well made. If you are a beginning camper, this is the perfect stove for you, if you are an experienced camper that wants the simplicity of operation of propane, without the reliability problems of the fancier models, this is the stove for you.

EXPERIENCE: I have used barbecue grills before, but none of them have been as good as this propane stove. Granted, you can't grill anything on a stove, however, these stoves are so much more efficient then that of a grill. Always remember to have the valves closed first before putting a flame over the burners, as this is how the manual recommends, then you can open the valves to ignite the gas. For my purpose's of this propane stove, I just use a barbecue lighter, and it seems to work just fine. Unlike a grill which does not burn clean, and the grill gets charred and dirty, these stoves burn very clean, and the stove top grill does not get dirty. There is no need to put food directly onto the stove, as this stoves burner system, heats so efficiently and evenly, that all food inside a pot or pan, will get cooked well. The ergonomics of the stove is not too bad, its designed very well. The wind breakers on each side are designed to keep the wind away, and more of the heat against the pot or pan. The burner adjustment valves are a bit sensitive, meaning very little movement, makes a big difference in the flame. From my experience, a small flame is perfect for frying eggs, bacon, sausage. While the higher burner flame is good for getting water boiling. I timed how long it took to get the water to boil, and it was around 10-minutes. But some of that was trial and error on my part, since it was my first time using the stove. I can not emphasize enough how cleanly this stove burns! I have had two propane grills, and both of them stinked like propane weather the flame was lit or not. Years of experience has taught me to hate propane grilling. This is why I was so surprised after firing up my new Coleman propane stove, I can't smell a single thing, I'm not kidding! There is not a single bit of odor that I can detect from this stove! However, be that as it may, do not let me make you think you can run this inside your enclosed house. While this propane stove does burn very cleanly, it still puts out carbon monoxide, and it still consumes oxygen. This is why I recommend that you run this outside, or inside your garage. The area needs to be well ventilated. If you are out camping, of course, please do not run this inside your tent or RV. CONCLUSION: I really like the metal construction of this Coleman stove, it seems to be well built, yet light enough to carry. And if you ever do get the stove dirty, it is easy to clean. But the things I like most about it, is the fact that it heats evenly, and burns cleanly. Having two-burners, allows me to cook two things at once, so there is no wait. Weather your camping, or just using this at home during a power outage, this is the stove to get. I have had no problems with it what so ever, and I highly recommend it! 5-STARS!

I have only gotten to cook 3 times on mine, but it arrived in great condition and has served me well! The first time my partner and I went to use it (We are in South Dakota at the moment, we are travelers) the weather went from sunny to a tornado forming over us! The cookstove actually performed great in the high winds and even sprinkles that blew the tornado above us. Luckily we are from South Dakota, so we are used to dealing with that in late summer. Was so impressed tho- crazy first camp stove experience. The next couple times were in great weather conditions so I got to test the heat output a little more. More than enough for cooking! Made hasbrowns, scrambled eggs, a ground beef goulash type thing, simmered a mirepoix, and warmed up bread. Just acquired a small kettle, so a nice French press will be the next adventure. Super impressed for the price, hast finished a propane tank yet, highly recommend. If you are limited on space however, this might not be for your as it is a little bulky.

This is a very solid camping stove that worked well and did exactly what I needed it to do. The overall build feels sturdy, and I was happy with its performance. My only criticism is the attachment system for the side wind guards. The guards are useful, but the way they attach could be better designed and a little easier to work with. Aside from that minor issue, this is a dependable, good-quality stove that I would recommend for camping.

Best in Gas stove

I love this product but the only one thing which i don't like is that if you use both stove at once the heat get less which make the boiling point takes more time then using single. But over all love this stove for out door use specially on my boat.
