It's great. Only having the possibility of seen the core as it comes out is awesome.

I purchased this item for the upcoming A/C season. I attempted to use it twice but I was unable to pull a vacuum due to the leaks in the tool. The tool is heavy and bulky and there is a lot of play in the connections. I missed my chance to return the item so now I'm stuck with an overpriced valve core remover. This was my first Fieldpiece purchase and I have been in the HVAC industry for 35 years. I used my old JB tools and had no problem drawing a deep vacuum. Don't waste your money on this tool.

Super excited when I got this thing, it’s a removal tool on steroids ! Super beefy, heavy, and solid. But I hooked it up to a true suction port on a heat pump which is horizontal and the remover is so tight that system pressure can barely move it, remover rod comes out super slow, and as it’s coming out it passes by an O-ring before the valve cut off and strips your Schrader right off the rod. I repeated this process over six times, every single time schrader comes off before the valve. Im just thankful it put the schrader back in for me, or it would have been a one star review for sure! I had to break out my old trusty yellow jacket remover to get the job done. $120??? You’ll wanna pass on this.

Aweful, tool. Will not get ahold of the Schrader core most of the time, it won't even stay on when manually put on then re-insering. My Apion set was worn out so I bought these. Now I had to buy new Apion set.
