New Wheels for Old Troy-Bilt Toiier
The wheels work really great on my 30+ year old tiller. Although the width is 5” versus the original 4”, there is plenty of room for these wheels. It is true that the hole for the retaining pin is smaller than the original. The original wheels used a 5/16” pin whereas the new ones use a 1/4”. I tried everything I could but could never find a way to drill the hole out on the rim. There just wasn’t enough room, so I went with a 1/4” bolt (carbon steel, no stainless), lock washer, and nut. So far so good.

Works great on Earthquake Tillers!
These tires worked great in my earthquake tiller and the fit perfectly! I did have to install new locking pins I got at the local hardware but the where cheaply priced. The best was it was a quick and easy fix!

These Hoosier Wheel 13x5.00-6 Tractor Tire and Rim - 1" Axle - Set of 2 do not fit on a 1978 Troy Bilt Horse tiller. Serial # P382400 The hub does not extend enough on the end where the roll pin goes. Found the correct wheels and tires on custompartsinc.com.
