The pour over filter has a large hole in the middle so you absolutely can not use this without a paper filter I guess if you don’t mind having a paper filter every time it might be okay. But the water seems to go through the coffee too quickly bc of the size of the hole. Even with a paper filter in there. It needs to go slower in order to extract the coffee from the grounds properly. But cute little kit for camping. But if you are like me (I do nothing before I have my coffee and then I have another cup mid afternoon) this filter won’t do. I need a better filter and also I don’t like using paper filters.

These seems great. I will come back after I take this on the trail.

This product is decent made with a sturdy and collapsible design.. I appreciate the high-quality travel case to keep the unit safe, with added space to store 50 filters easily. However, I am disappointed with the cup sizes. One cup is a bit larger than the other, but both fall short of my idea of a decent-sized cup of coffee. It is about the size of a cappuccino cup. Another thing I noticed is that my coffee seemed to go cold pretty quickly, probably due to the cup size. Even though it is made well, I love the compact folding design, collapsible features, and high-quality travel case with wrist strap, FOR ME, I just could not get past the cup size. It should be noted that they are not insulated cups, which means you are going to feel the heat from the liquid. So you run the risk of burning your hand if you touch the sides. If I had paid more attention to the size before buying, I would have looked for something else.

Its very small and I don't know if I will use it on the mountains. I am not impressed by this coffee making setup at all, its not very user friendly and it doesn't make much as far as the containers provided. I would like to make coffee one time and this seems like a repetitive scenario. This might be perfect for some, but its not what I need.

We love taking weekend hikes and at times we wish we had good coffee to sit and drink while we take in the view. Not, we can have the same quality pour over quality on the trails that we enjoy at home. This is a terrific set that we will be using all the time, and for the price point, I can't imagine finding something better. Use great coffee and equipment like this and you'll produce amazing coffee. If you have a glacier near by, like we do, boil up some glacier water and you'll realize what true, clean drinking coffee is supposed to taste like. We can't recommend this product enough. It's been a game changer for us.

This is a great self-contained set that has all you need to make good coffee when away from home. You'll need to supply grounds, of course, but this has all the pieces to make the coffee. So, it has a storage container for your grounds. It has two cups, and it has a pour-over filter (you need to supply the filter paper or use a paper towel). It has its own self-contained carrying case into which everything fits nicely. It's compact and fits easily within a backpack. I have tried this a couple of times, and it works well. It's simple to clean in the creek or other water source. I'm happy with this product.
